Holmes Products Air Purifier with Ionizer HAP424 Review

We are in the process of quitting smoking and over the years the smoke in the winter time with the doors and windows shut here in Wisconsin was to much!  I have two cats now that stir up the dust when they bomb around here.  I have bought a selection of air purifiers that were OK, but just didn't last. Others were spoz to be silent and just needed to be wiped down, but the two I had always made a popping noise which made me to nervous to let run. Wondered if I would ever find an air purifier that would last.

I am so pleased with my Holmes Tower Air Purifier with Ionizer.  It's quiet, it freshens and cleans the air and it has filters that can be washed (one of the two filters are washable). It also has a HEPA-type filter.

I turn on the Ionizer a few hours before I vacuum to cut down the static.  I so did not know I had so much static in our home until I vacuumed  a few weeks ago.  WOW! It was going into the vacuum charging it up and when I went to turn it off I got zapped.  I know what your thinking, it must be the vacuum. I turned on the Ionizer on my Holmes air purifier, let it do it's thing for an hour and finished my vacuuming and now sparks.  I have been putting the Ionizer on before I vacuum every-time and no sparks.  (it's a new vacuum too).

I like the tower form too because it fits into any corner or area in my home without taking up a lot of room. It also has a swivel base so you can easily turn. Covers 180 square feet. 12X15 room size.

I found this at Wal-mart for $69 and bought extra HEPA filters for $15. I love it and the air is fresh and clean.  I am ready for indoor winter time...shovel on the list for outdoor winter time. (sniffle)
