With the cold weather here in NY we have started to use this in our livingroom for extra warmth. It is very quiet and warms up our chilly living room to a very comfortable temp. This product was used by us because the cost of electric was less than for natural gas which runs our furnace in this area. It has helped and certainly lets out enough heat to keep you comfortable. It does not give off too much heat so it maintains it's temp quite well. Ease of Use Really easy to set by useing the mode button you can scan through what you want it set on. Durability The only problem we have is that after not alot of useage the oscillation feature does not work. If that feature works it gives you warmth in every part of the room.

We got this heater several years ago when we had our first son in the middle of winter. We live on a budget and didn't want to heat the whole house to be so warm, but we did want to make sure our son's room was warm enough for him. Plus, at night we don't sleep well at degrees much above 60, but we certainly didn't want our baby's room to be that cool. I loved that this had a built-in thermostat. When the room got to the set temperature, it would stop blowing heat. I also loved that this heater had an oscillating option to help heat the room evenly. I know that it also had "timer" settings, although we never used these. There is also a small remote that comes with it, but we never used that. It was relatively quiet, although certainly not silent. Overall, we were very pleased with this product and have used it to help heat both of our baby's rooms in the middle of winter. I have no complaints about this product and would recommend it to those who want to help keep an isolated room a little toastier.

I love how it has motorized oscillation to force heat to all angles. I have had great success with this product. The small heater keeps my large living room warm through out the day. The heater has two settings, high and low, and it also has a setting where it will keep the room at a constant temperatrue setting up to 89 degrees. It can also be set to come on automatically. Give it a try if you are wanting to heat only one room in your house to save money. It definately helps lower my monthly gas bill. Some awesome product features are: tip-over protection, auto shut off protection, triple ceramic elements for optimum heating, filter to trap dust, and a remote control operates all functions. I have 2 children under age 5 and it's great that the front never gets too hot, so they don't get burned if they bump or touch it. Great product.

we have two of these holmes ceramic compact heaters in our house.  we actually do have central heating but we live in florida and try not to use it too often.  most of the time if it gets cold we will just turn one of these on in our bedroom and close the door.  the holmes ceramic compact heater works really well at heating up a smallish area like a bedroom, though of course it is little use against large open areas.  however, the holmes ceramic compact heater works well for our money saving purposes.  its controls are quite simple to use, with a brightly lit digital display that can easily read at night.  you can set the exact temperature to reach and it displays the current room temperature as well.  it has a high and low fan mode and also an optional oscilating function.  it's not too expensive for such an effective heater, and is also quite safe.  it never gets too hot to touch.  not a bad deal to save a buck
