Holmes Heater - One Touch Review

Like many homes my apartment has some chilly spots that could use a space heater.  I have found that the Holmes 1-Touch Twin Ceramic Heater really helps out when I want to quickly warm up an area, and don't want to crank-up the thermostat.

The Holmes 1-Touch Twin Ceramic Heater has several operating options that are easily changed by the touch of one button. It can be run continuously on High (1,500 Watts of energy) or a Low setting (1,000 Watts). Or you can select a variety of temperature limits for the heater. When the room reaches that chosen temperature it will shut off.

I mostly run the Holmes 1-Touch Twin Ceramic Heater on high for about 10 minutes then shut it off manually. This works for me since I usually just want to take the chill out of my room, which is persistently too cool near a sliding glass door that doesn't seal real well.  But if you want to keep the room heated to a certain level, you can choose from 60 degrees up to 80 degrees.

This space heater also has a nice appearance. It's a neutral color with twin grilles. The controls are near the top and easy to see.  The unit will also automatically shut off if it is tipped over. The ceramic control system will also shut-off the unit if it senses overheating, and requires manually re-programming before it will restart.

Sound-wise this Holmes space heater is a little noisy, especially when on High. Also, it does not oscillate. You may need to get up and re-direct where the heat blows if you want it spread around. But overall those are minor points for me, and I would highly recommend the Holmes 1-Touch Twin Ceramic Heater to anyone who does not want to ''chill out'' when sitting in a drafty room.
