Fast Reliable Heat, But Coil Burned Out Within Two Months

Holmes Heater - Compact Heater with Fan — 

While this compact unit provides fast warm up and is very light and easy to use, we have only owned it for 2 months. Tomorrow it goes back to Wal-Mart for an exchange. The end of the coil at the terminal burned in half and now it is nothing but a portable fan with no heat. I'm teetering on whether to exchange for the same unit or a different one. Since I've found no other reviews yet concerning the Holmes Portable Heater coil burning out, I believe I'm going to go ahead and give Holmes one more chance. We have another of the same type unit and it is currently replacing this one in the bedroom. Now I just have to walk into a cold bathroom in the mornings. Hopefully Holmes will look into this failure to find out what may have caused the break in the coil.
