This heater operates silently, has no moving parts or fan. Has a digital thermostat with hi and lo settings, and automatically shuts itself off when set temperature is reached and turns on again when needed. Has front mounted handle and rear wheels for easy moving/repositioning. This heater is meant... review »

Keep a large room cozy during frigid winter days with this silent, oil-free room heater from Bionaire. Endowed with micathermic technology for quick heat convection, the heater offers a reduced-power alternative to the house's central heating system. The heater also can supplement heat in an area of concentrated activity while the home system runs on low. The lightweight heater benefits from an outer construction that stays cool to human hands while the inner elements become hot. A digital thermostat displays the current room temperature to enable informed setting selection. The heater outputs... review »

We live in a house that is over 200 years old and the insulation isn't great, so as we redo the home we have to supplement the heating source in rooms not yet renovated...the bathroom is one room with this issue, so we decided that we would purchase a Holmes heater as our supplemental heat source and it's has been fantastic!  This item is worth every penny we paid and I can tell you this wasn't one of the fancy expensive heaters, but it works like one and this is the second season we are using it and its still working and keeping us warm in the bathroom.

this is a great heater, it is very warm and I am a cold person. It takes a lot for me to get wam. this heater warms me up. I have animals, a cat and a dog, its very important for my animals to be safe. My cat gets on everything, so I need something that is going to be safe around her.

My husband brought this heater home ... probably over a year ago - so it's going through it's 2nd year in our home; we leave it on all day and all night during the cold days.  It takes some time to get warm.. which I think is the reason we do that.  Also, note if you have kids, keep this out of the way, because it can get tipped over if bumped into hard - it makes a loud noise.. but just keeps on ticking.  I would recommend the heater - we leave it on our mantel (don't use the fireplace) - it's away from everyone - and takes the chill off... the room is pretty big about 15 x 25.. and it keeps... review »

The Holmes utility heater is not power hungry.  I have one cat that is cold from fall to spring and she loves to lie next to the heater.  It is safe for her.

Four years ago my furnace went out and was unrepairable so for 3 winters I had no heat.  I bought a brand new Holmes Heater, (oil heater) well you had to stand right on top of it to feel any heat at all from it.  My sister had one her husband used in his camper when he worked away from home so she gave it to me, same kind of heater, same problem,,two of them wouldn't even heat my living room.  Yes, I sold both in a yard sale the following summer.  I think you have to use these in a small area and shut the door to get the area heated up.  I did use mine a few times in my bathroom, but had to...

When I used to think of space heaters, I would remember an intrusive, noisey unit. But no more! This Bionaire BH3955-U not only looks good; it is also absolutely quiet. Plus, it also has a modern, sleek design that looks good sitting in the corner of my family room.

The choice of opeating modes--lo, high, low-thermostatically controlled, and high-thermstatically controlled--offers me flexibility to meet varing conditions. And the the built-in digital thermometer is handy when I want to check room temperature before turning the unit on. Also, the built-in wheels are handy when moving this unit from...

This is a good heater for one room. Its quiet. I would get this if you need to heat a backroom in your house. I have a back bedroom in my house that needed a little extra heat and this was perfect for it. Its in a childs bedroom and she seems to stay away from it. It get hot but not hot enough to really hurt her.

Don't forget to turn off when not at home. Just like with any other product. Safety first. Good for small spaces. Is small but effective. Makes very little sound. It has a reasonable price and it's cute. It won't stand out in your room because of its size.

I have owned my Bionair Utility Heater for a little over 16 months.  It works wonderful on those cold nights when I am sitting at my computer.  I don't know if it is very energy efficient, but I like it anyway.

I have two holmes heaters that are wonderful. They heat up fast and the chill in the room just vanishes. Don't know what I'd do without them when they are needed.
