Holmes Heater - Bionaire - BH3955-U Review

Four years ago my furnace went out and was unrepairable so for 3 winters I had no heat.  I bought a brand new Holmes Heater, (oil heater) well you had to stand right on top of it to feel any heat at all from it.  My sister had one her husband used in his camper when he worked away from home so she gave it to me, same kind of heater, same problem,,two of them wouldn't even heat my living room.  Yes, I sold both in a yard sale the following summer.  I think you have to use these in a small area and shut the door to get the area heated up.  I did use mine a few times in my bathroom, but had to leave it turned on for an hour with the door shut before it got warm enough to take a bath and after the bath getting out to dry off I nearly froze to death.  I finally this past winter bought a gas heater with the fake logs, it is small but does 100 times better than these oil heaters.  So they are not for heating your home, they are just for use in a camper or in a small room with the door shut.  I even told the people I sold my two heaters to how they didn't heat good enough for me.  They both wanted them just for bathroom heat,,which is about all they are good for.  My brother in law said it should heat you living room, it kept my whole camper hot.  I said well your camper is a lot smaller and contained than my 7 room house.  He said I just didn't know how to use it. duh!! you plug it in and turn it on that simple.  I wouldn't take another brand new one if someone gave it to me for free.  "Unless I was living in a Camper"  They are not that expensive, probably why they don't put out much heat,  Well, you get what you pay for they say.  And that's what I got.  A cheap heater that didn't heat.
