I think that Holmes is the best company from which to buy a humidifier. I had purchased another one from this company at one point and I was really happy with. I bought this one for my bedroom when I moved into a larger home and my old one could no longer keep up with the space. This humidifier is very quiet and well worth every penny that I spent on it. It keeps the room perfectly moisturized, especially during the winter months when I sometimes get nosebleeds due to the dryness in the air. I do not have to use it as much in the summer because Florida gets very humid during those months. I like the settings for this product because I can choose how humid I want the room to be. I like how it looks too. It has to be sitting out, so it can be seen if anyone goes in my room, but I think it fits in and does not look bad. I would recommend this product for anyone with issues with nosebleeds when the air is very dry. This humidifier is tops!

This humidifier has been exceptionally great for keeping our kids' room from getting too dry over night. We set it on low and let it run while they're sleeping and they wake up without any congestion or other sinus problems. We also increase the setting if they do end up with a head cold/the flu. It has held up well through getting knocked to the floor once. (Thank goodness!)

I like this humidifier a lot. We had it in my little sisters room and it worked very well for that. The water level in the air wasn't right, and that was making her have bloody noses, so the doctor suggested we get her a humidifier. It is very helpful that this humidifier is so easy to use. I would keep it on at night, and I would only have to fill it up once every few days. It was easy to do and the output was then great. It was also easy to clean. To fill it up and to clean it, we just put it in the bath tub to rinse it out and fill it. My sister was much better after this purchase and keeping it in her room. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quality and easy product.

I use this humidifier constantly in my nursery. My five month old baby has already had a couple of colds and I worry so much about congestion in babies! This humidifier helps her to sleep better. It is really quiet (I used to have a noisy one) and it humidifies the air without making the carpet around it damp. Other humidifiers have left the carpet damp, and then I worry about mold. I do get ice on the inside of the windows, which I hate, no matter which humidifier I use. I like to add a little Eucalyptus oil to diffuse it through the room. I feel like it also helps my dry, winter skin. Overall, I really like this humidifier so much better than others I have used, and the price was great. I would definitely recommend it to my friends!

I owned this humidifier in the past, but decided to get rid of it for a number of reasons. It was difficult to keep clean, hard water deposits built up in it very quickly. When I went to get replacement filters, I could not find them. They had been discontinued at the store where I bought it. I tried washing the filters myself for reuse but that didn't work very well.

First I have to tell you we got this as a replacement humidifier from the Holmes company. We had another one and it had a problem with mildew and the fan etc...so I called the company and they were GREAT about replacing it!!!! I LOVE this one for several reasons and most of all because it doesnt get dust and mildew in the fan system and the noise is very LOW when its running!!! I love the cool breeze and I really feel it in my nose when its running. I need several of these, really because its not a HUGE humidifier so I move it around based on who needs it in the house the most. But the company is great and the humidifier is great, I would buy any Holmes again based on how they dealt with me and my problem with the last. Oh and the filter is easy to find and replace!!!

I decided to get a humidifier after suffering from a dry nose with this horrible winter. I thought that this would be able to fix that, but instead it just was a lot of work to make a big mess and no payoff. I tried it for 3 nights in a row, and didn't see any reason worth keeping it. After you fill the bottle up with water, it pretty much just runs all night. I didn't feel like it really did anything, as my nose was just as dry in the morning. It also made my dresser and night stand very wet, and I was afraid that it would ruin the wood tops after extended use. So I decided to return it for good and not even consider another humidifier. Noise wise it was fine, very quiet. Definitely not problems in that department. Maybe a humidifier isn't for me based on my experience.

We bought the Holmes Humidifier after my son was born. My son was coughing a lot in the winter and he could not sleep properly. So, his doctor suggested to get a humidifer and use it in his bedroom. I was looking for different models of humidifier and i was not really sure which one to go. Then, my friend suggested me this humidifier which is a life saver. We have been using this for the past three winters and it really helps us to sleep properly in the night time. After we started using this, my son started sleeping properly in the night times and his coughing has reduced a lot. MNy husband fills water and it makes little noise but once we get used to his sound, it did not bother us much. I would recommend this to all my friends. Holmes humidifier really does what it needs to do.

I purchased this humidifier after my baby boy got sick. We took him to the doctor and they recommended that we get a cool mist humidier. My wife and I purchased this one to put in his room and it works really good. We just fill it with water and plug it in in his room and we could tell a huge difference within a day or two. His cough got a lot better because of the humidifier. We just kept it running in his room all night and day and you can tell a huge difference by how he started out sounding when he coughed and how he sounded within a day,then within two days, and etc. We just keep it going all the time now because we know it can't hurt anything. You just have to make sure to clean it so that it doesn't get molded or anything like that. Works great!

We bought this (or very similar model) to humidify our apartment bedroom in 1999. We ran it every winter until 2004 when our daughter was born. At which point it became white noise for her bedroom every night. We still load it with water in the winter. This unit has made it through 4 moves and has been on numerious trips with us to hotel rooms. I just bought another for our son's room. 10 years from one humidifier that gets year round duty for the last 6 years is simply amazing.
