Holland America Line - Westerdam Review Summary
With 100% positive rating from Viewpoint cruises and the fact this ship was used in the movie "Out to Sea" she is a great choice doe a vacation! Our reviewers noted the beautiful ship, helpful staff and many ship activities as some of the reasons they would recommend the Westerdam. A couple of cruisers noted that the cruise can be a bit pricier than other lines but they both felt that the cruise was worth the extra money. One reviewer summed up her felling when she stated that Holland America is " the best cruiseline I have ever been on."

We took our first cruise on this ship and we really loved it.
The people on board were very friendly and did whatever they could to please you. Basically you feel pampered from beginning to end.
We took a cruise because a lot of collegues had indicated that they preferred taking a cruise above any other way of taking a vacation. They also told me that Holland America and Norwegian were to their opinion the best companies to sail with. One of them sails only with Holland America; he is taking this year three weeks of cruise and all on the Westerdam.

Although I have gone on several cruise lines I find that one of the better cruises I have been on is a Holland America Caribbean cruise. The staff is most willing to accommodate someone of limited mobility or abilities. There is much to do on the ship including sitting on a deck chair and watching the world go by. Its one of the most relaxing experiences I've ever had. This particular ship the Westerdam was used in a Hollywood movie called "Out to Sea" with Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau and watching the movie always brings back happy memories of eating by the pool and walking on the deck....
