Smaller, older ship, but still a great cruise!
lover of cruises, love to travel, fun loving, full-time worker, a frequent traveler, appreciative of good service, seeker of fun and interesting places, frequent-cruiser

We selected the Rotterdam due to the type of cruise - a European tour that traveled into the Black Sea.  A smaller ship was needed to navigate some of the passages.

Pros:

*  The itinerary - the ports of call were top notch and the excursions available were fantastic

*  The staff was very friendly and delivered excellent service

*  The on-board entertainment was nice

Cons:

*  The average age for the passengers was 60+ (we are in our 30's) so that's just something to keep in mind if you are a younger traveler

*  It was a national holiday in one of the countries that day that we visited, so...

Found this cruiseline to be excellant. This was a northern passage from London to NY,NY. lasting 17 days. It was not without its problems. We came across hurricane Karl which caused havic with the ship, plus, the engines had problems and for a time we were with out any. The waves knocked us around like a toy boat. Alot of damage was done to the ship but the crew did all they could for the passengers and they got that ship back in decent shape quickly. Most importantly we all arrived at our destination in tack and on time. I would not hesitate to go on this cruiseship in the future.
