This was an interesting cruise, we started out in Boston and ended up in Denmark. We were able to visit countries that you wouldn't ordinarily plan a vacation to. In some of the places we were the first cruise line to visit. The local folks really enjoyed meeting us. That was a great experience. They weren't the usual jaded townsfolk with cruise lines coming and going all the time. The tours were simple, mostly sight seeing from a bus, but they were wonderful. The tour guides were informative and very friendly answering all of our questions. …

I cruised on the Maasdam three times in 4 years. I love the size of this ship. Big enough to have things to do, not so big that I feel like I am in a city on the ocean. Holland America has some of the largest cabins on moderate priced cruises around. A bathtub! We had a bathtub in an abstructed view outside cabin. Not a suite, mind you. The dining room staff is exceptional. I have cruised on other cruise lines before and since cruising Holland America. I want to be on Holland America…
