Sometimes during the holiday I like to make my family gifts because half of them have everything so I make a bunch of fudge, put them in tins ,wrap them in bows and hand them out as gifts and the good part is we are all involved in the making so it comes straight from the heart.Everyone loves them.

My mother used to make cookies and banana bread among other great things around the holidays. She didn't give it to people as gifts but everyone who visited walked out with a nice haul of homemade sweets. She loved to give.

I don't make anything I would think would be good enough to give as a gift but I never mind getting something yummy!

I also like to make home made baking gifts for family and friends.  It is easy to ship and means more being home made than bought.  It shows love was put in the gift and not just bought without thought.  My neighbors also look forward to my baking especially with their children and family come to visit.

I do a lot of cooking and baking, being the Pasco County Food Examiner, on examiner. com, but my family don't get any, because they live in England.

I also make English sausage rolls and lots of other English delights for the holidays.

Haven't made fudge in a long time but I've been thinking about making some for gifts for Christmas. I sometimes give cranberry bread, nut bread, and various muffins and cookies. Depends on how my health is too.

I love to cook and bake. I enjoy sending the boys across the road etc to share treats esp hot out of the oven. Not the fudge of course. That has to "set up" first.

I got this fudge recipe from WeightWatchers 3 years ago. It is the richest, most decadent fudge I have ever made, and you can even make it minty (my fave) or peanut buttery (gross out). One little square was more than enough to satisfy me.

It's super easy to make, and a lot (healthier, maybe? IDK) than normal fudge. If people want it, I will dig it up and post it.

Reading these post from others, brought back memories of my childhood. My family didn't have money for any store bought gifts, except for fruits, nuts, and candy and a Big candy cane. All of my friends were in the same boat as we were. I honestly never thought we were poor, we were rich in what we did have. Lots of Love from our parents, simblings and other relatives. We had chicken & dumblings, fried chicken and any other way there was to fix it. We didn't hear any one complaining. We ate what we raised and shared with neighbors in need.

Hi pitcherday-I would love your weight watchers fudge recipe if you could find it. Also, could you list the nutrition info if possible?

My super easy fudge recipe is one can of sweetened condensed milk and one back semi sweet chocolate chips (2 cups). Add together in a microwaveable bowl, microwave on high for 30 seconds, stir and continue to melt on high 30 second intervals until the chips are all melted. Line an 8x8 square pan (or similar size-the larger the pan, the thinner the fudge, the smaller the pan, the thicker the fudge) with foil, spray with non stick spray, spread the mixture in the pan, refridgerate until firm. Lift out foil and cut into squares. Yum!
