I got this as a Christmas present years ago from my husband because my back hurt and I just liked massages. It was better than I thought it would be. I've tried cheaper massagers in stores before and they didn't hold up as well. This HoMedics Shiatsu Massager worked great! It was a lot stronger than I was expecting. The massaging balls work up and down your back. You can pick upper, lower or your full back for the massage. It is definitely a shiatsu massage. The chair fits nicely on your couch and is comfortable to sit on. My concern is that it doesn't massage high enough. I am 5'5 feet and the massage part doesn't go up to the top of my shoulders. I can only imagine that there are taller people than me out there using this product. So for that reason I can't give it a full 10 out of 10 rating. I feel like I have to sit awkwardly in order to get the very top of my back. Other than that this a great massage chair. It works well.

I love my HoMedics Shiatsu massager. I bought this for my husband for Christmas 3 years ago, but I was the one who is using it most of the time. It's such a great massager. I have always been looking for a massage chair that is not too expensive and also not just have the viabration and heat. And this Shiatsu is perfect, and the price is just right. I am really tired from work and my back is so tense so I would sit in my office chair where I placed this Homedics Shiatsu massager and get my half hour massage. There's a timer for 15 minutes each session because I think it's there in case someone fell asleep while getting the massage. And also there's a different option that massage a section of  your body at a time or just roll a part of your back at a time. For the price, it's great to have your back massage each day. And this massager fits great on my office chair. And with the heat option, I can relax with heat and massage. It's so cool!

A friend loaned me this back massager.  Well, it is not the exact same one but it is really close to this one.  I am pregnant and started having really bad back soreness at about six months.  I was resigned to dealing with it, but she had one of these massagers and it seemed worth a shot since my sweet husband was getting tired of giving me massages every night.  It has helped a lot.  I sit with it in the chair at least once or twice a day.  It has really helped keep me from having my back seize up on me during the day like it was doing before I got it.  My husband is happy, too, because now he doesn't have to give me nearly as many back rubs.  Now, this is nowhere near the same experience as going to get a massage, but it does really help to get some of the tension out.  You can't expect it to work miracles on you, but it can give you a small amount of relief from the back pain. If that is what you are looking for, this is great!

One of my favorite Christmas gifts has been my HoMedics Shiatzu massager. My first experience using one of these massagers was at a salon while I was getting my hair done. I left the salon so calm and relaxed, and had great hair to boot! That is when I told my husband that I need a HoMedics Shiatzu massager, although I really didn't expect that he would get me one. Then, come Christmas he, of course, surprises me with my HoMedics Shiatzu massager. We first heard of these massagers on a radio show advertisement, l think we were listening to Dave Ramsey or Rush Limbaugh. My husband was convinced from the advertisement that he needed to get one and he had also remembered my comments after my experience at the salon. Our HoMedics Shiatzu massager has the option to have a heated massage, it also will do just the upper back or lower back, and of course, the whole back. I think it usually lasts about 10-15 minutes for a massage and it feels wonderful! I would definitely recommend this product to my friends and family, and anyone else who may ask. I love it and I would get another one if this one should wear out. There really isn't anything that I don't like about it. HoMedics has made a great quality product.

I have owned three Homedic back massagers now and this newest model I love!  It is another Homedics portable massager - but they have made improvements from the last could of versions that I am really enjoying.  It fits easily in a sitting chair or kitchen chair.  It has two massage features - a track with a rolling session or quad shaitsu balls that rotate.  There are several settings - including a demo that goes through all massage with or without heat.  I use this massager every weekend and think it has much better impact than the last years model that had no alternate settings and had no heat.  The only thing i can't get used to is the track is short and i have a hard time getting my shoulders massaged even though I am average height.  Other than that - if you use the massager just every 15 minutes - especially with the heat on - it works hard to give you a deep, heated amssage - better than any other machine I have owned so far.

I had the older version of this that didn't have heat, and it was fabulous.  Now I have the one that has heat as well and I am in heaven every time I use it!  I enjoy getting a warm massage when it is really cold out because the cold hurts my joints...this helps with both my pain and warms me up! It has 2 sets of I think 2 roller balls that spin while they move up and down the length of the massager, so it is supposed to get your whole back, plus you get the added bonus of a warm massage!  You can change the pressure simply by leaning onto the back pad more or less and you can actually just move your body to the most comfortable position.  The negative is that it can be expensive, but I always use coupons and wait for sales, so I know I could have gotten a good deal on it...but it was my Christmas present so I don't know how much my husband actually paid! Also negative, I'm short and it is difficult for it to massage my entire back.  If my "problem area" is near my neck, I have to slouch or if it is my lower back, I have to sit on a pillow.

Awesome product. Love it. I have to put a town over the rollers or it hurts my back but it gives a great massage. Works lower or upper back or full back massage. I use it frequently. Got is as a gift but would pay for it myself just for the relaxing it gives. Everyone in the house uses it and loves it.
