The bathrooms at this hotel are in the process of being renovated right now. They put in new sinks, new counters, and sconces next to the mirror, instead of overhead flourescent lighting. The pool was just renovated as well. They are in the process of renovating the gym to make it larger and more updated. In the near future, there will be a full Starbucks and a wine bar as well! They have 486 oversize rooms, tons of business space, a business center and an in-house restaurant. There are 7 floors, of which the 7th floor is the executive floor. There is an executive lounge that includes a complimentary contintental breakfast, complimentary appetizers from 5-7PM, and complimentary cold beverages until 10 PM. The lounge is open 6:30 AM-10PM Monday through Friday. On the weekends, breakfast coupons are offered if you are a Diamond Honors member, or if you booked the executive level rate. The executive level is offered at reservations, and upon check in. The rate is $40 and includes free self parking ($20 per night value), free internet ($13.95 for 24 hours), free local calls ($1.25 per call) and access to the lounge. It is a private, keyed floor and requires access to be granted with your key card. They also have 24 hour room service, although there is a limited cold menu from 12AM-6AM. There is a McDonald's right across the street, and a 711 and a sports bar located on the other side of the street. They are about a mile away from South Coast Plaza, a very large, upscale mall and a half mile from the 405 and 55 freeways. The downside is the parking fee, but every place in Costa Mesa, let alone all of Orange County, have parking charges. They offer valet and self parking in a large parking garage. All in all, this is a great hotel, and they run great weekend rates from $109 dollars. They also offer a "drive and dine" program that includes a $25 gas or flight reimbursement, $25 gift certificate to south coast plaza and one $25 dining gift certificate for every night of your stay. This promotion has a rate of just $30 above the best available rate, and it includes everything I listed above.
