The Hilton Garden Inn Washington D.C. is hard to beat, according to consumer reviews on Viewpoints. This was our first trip to WA DC and we couldn't have picked a better location! Just 3 blocks away was the White House and across the street was the McPherson MetroStation (making every attraction extremely easy to get to). The room was very clean, and the hotel was immaculate. The hotel restaurant was nice, but had a limited menu selection. There were many restaurants near the hotel (although many closed before dinner - the main customers for the area eateries are downtown employees, many of whom leave before dinner time). The hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and very cheerful!… read full review »

my stay at the hilton garden inn was great.the room was very comfortable, clean, the only thing i didnt like was the view from the windows-i mean there was no view,it was the inside walls of the hotel,so cant really tell what time of a day it is by looking outside, its just dark.i didnt have time to change the room,so we just stayed in it.Everything was great though, staff is nice, service is great.Gonna have to make sure next time i request the room with the street view.))Entertainment: Short Walk, Nightlife is just around the corner) —… read full review »

The location was great. We could walk to all the sites or take the Metro. We arrived at 9:00am and check in isn't until 3:00pm. They were so gracious and stored our luggage until check in time so we could head out sightseeing. Equally gracious in letting us leave our luggage since out departing flight was at 8:00pm on the day we left. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.Recreational Attactions: Short Walk, The metro is only a few blocks away and there are restaurants and tourist attractions nearby. —… read full review »

This was our first trip to DC. I picked this hotel because of location to sites & Metro station (across Street). The Hilton looked like it should have cost more than it did. The staff was about as well trained as any I have dealt with. When we come back to DC, somebody will have to cut a very good deal to get us to stay somewhere besides the Hilton Garden Inn on 14th street. Would highly recommend to anyoneDining: Short Walk, Try the K14 up the street for dinner - excellent —… read full review »

Dining in a hotel restaurant with an open floor plan makes for a pretty loud environment in and of itself. However, one particular obnoxiously loud customer and the hostess didn't help the situation as she (hostess) really "got along" with this customer (the table on Saturday night was adjacent to the hostess "stand" and the loudness of the customer and the kibbitzing with the hostess seemed to make the situation even worse. There were many "turned and shaking heads" while we ate. We returned two nights later for dinner and this time the loud customer was back - not to eat, but to just… read full review »

The Hilton Garden Inn was very comfortable, the room was quiet, with a desk, table, and two chairs. I also like the fact that a microwave, refrigerators, and a coffee maker are provided with each room. The location is very good, across the street from the hotel is a metro station.Recreational Attactions: Short Walk, The Metro Circulator Bus line is one block away. These buses take you to most of the Washington DC attractions [Smithsonian Museums, National Archives, Georgetown, Union Station, etc.] for $1.00. You can get on and off of the Circulator buses within a time period [few… read full review »
