This was our first trip to WA DC and we couldn't have picked a better location! Just 3 blocks away was the White House and across the street was the McPherson MetroStation (making every attraction extremely easy to get to). The room was very clean, and the hotel was immaculate. The hotel restaurant was nice, but had a limited menu selection. There were many restaurants near the hotel (although many closed before dinner - the main customers for the area eateries are downtown employees, many of whom leave before dinner time). The hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and very cheerful! If we go back to DC, I would stay at the Hilton Garden Inn.

Recreational Attactions: Short Walk, Be sure to take a walk at night to see the landmarks illuminated! We felt very safe walking everywhere at night...especially near the White House (we saw 9 police cars within 3 blocks).
