Hilton Garden Inn Addison - Addison, IL Review

My son plays travel hockey, which means, we travel alot.  In a year we stay at about 8-10 different hotels just for hockey tournaments.  This isn't including vacations, getaways, etc.

I am always leary about the hotel we are going to be staying at since the hockey team's Manager books it for us.  I can look it up online, but let's face it.  Everyplace looks good online.  So until I enter the hotel for myself, I worry.

The Hilton Garden Inn Addison in Addison, Illinois is not only clean but family friendly!  When booking the rooms for our hockey team, the reservations clerk gave our group a free room to "hang out in".   That shocked me!  A hotel has never just given us a hotel room for free.  I thought that was great.  It's a great way to keep the kids from running around in the halls back and forth to each other's room.  

Room 
Our room was a delight to walk into.  Beautiful decorated, roomy and efficient.  There is a mini-fridge and a microwave.  When you are traveling with small children, those can be a lifesaver!  There is wi-fi in every room which is an essential for me.  This laptop is attached to my hip for numerous reasons.  Guess what?  The beds are comfortable!  Very comfortable....I didn't want to get out of bed in the morning.

Lobby 
The lobby is very warm and inviting with a sitting room in front of the fireplace for everyone to gather.  Every evening there are fresh baked cookies on the front desk for guest.  How great is that?

Restaurant 
The restaurant in the Hilton Garden Inn Addison is called The Great American Grill.  The food is delicious, there is a wide variety of dishes to choose from and they are reasonably priced. The best thing about the restaurant is room service.  They are quick!

Pool & Hot Tub 
The pool/hot tub area is very clean, warm and welcoming.  There is plenty of seating for everyone.  We happen to spend a lot of time in there!

Business Center 
The Business Center is available for use at no charge.  There is a laptop computer to use that has Microsoft Office, laser printer, copy machine, fax machine and other general office equipment and supplies. All free of charge! 

Fitness Center
The fitness center is open from 6am-10pm daily and features a treadmill, stair stepper and bike.  THe fitness center is available to all guests free of charge.

Pavilion Pantry
The pavilion pantry is open 24 hours a day.  It's a little store inside the hotel stocked with snacks, microwaveable meals and toiletries.  This little pantry has come in handy for us, a few times during our stay.

Conference Room
There is a conference/meeting room available for rent on the first floor. 

Chicago/O'Hare Airport is only 11 miles away.

The Hilton Garden Inn Addison in Addison, Illinois is one of my favorite family-friendly hotels that I have stayed in.  The staff is VERY kind and patient with our large group and very accomodating to all of our special needs  i.e. lugging around HUGE hockey bags, sticks, etc. 

If you are in the area overnight, I recommend that you check out this hotel.
