I have had my one cat for 18 years.  So she's getting to be an old lady.  A few years ago I took her to the vet becasue I had some concerns.  She was losing weight and vomiting a lot.  I had tried different foods.  I even tried foods with hairball treatment in it.  Nothing was working.  I was getting very nervous.  The vet told me about Hill's Science Diet cat food for mature cats.  She explained the importance of the food versus my cat's age and the benefits of this food.

I needed to board my son, Bernie, over Thanksgiving and the hotel he was going to stay at told me they feed their guests Science Diet.  Not a big deal, I went out about a week before we left and got him a small bag so he could get used to it.  After I recovered from the shock of the price (nearly 13 bucks), I brought it home to him and immediately began mixing it with his normal food (a supermarket brand that costs about 10 bucks LESS).  Long story short, he won't touch the cheap stuff any more.  But knowing I trust my boy's taste and his doctor (they sell it there, too), Science Diet is worth...
