Hillary Clinton Nutcracker Review

I was looking around Overstock.com for something else when I ran across the Hillary Clinton Nut Cracker in the kitchen section.  I thought it was really funny and the perfect novelty gift to get for my husband. 

The Hillary Clinton nut cracker is an actual nut cracker.  At first site it looks like a Hillary Clinton Doll.  She is smiling, and wearing a blue suit with a campaign button.  But if you look on the upper inside legs you will see the stainless steel teeth and that is the nut cracking part.  The rest of the body is made of plastic but the actual nut cracker teeth are very strong.  All you do is place the nuts between Hillary's legs and squeeze and the nuts will break opened.  For a novelty type item it actually works pretty well.

The Hillary Clinton Nut Cracker is actually a collectible item, and will probably become even more collectible if she becomes president.  So it comes in a special collectable box, of course you can choose to leave it in the box and save it, or you can actually take it out and use it.  Unfortunately for a novelty item it is a bit expensive, at the price of $29.99. I thought it would be really funny to get for my husband, but when I paid that much money I was kind of uncomfortable with it.  I also had to go out and buy a bunch of hard shelled nuts.  But all of friends and family have gotten a kick out the nut cracker, and we have had many laughs while using, and of course several in-appropriate comments. 

The Hillary Clinton Nut cracker weighs about 9 oz, and 1.5in H x 4in. W x 9 in. L

This nut cracker is not meant to be place in a dishwasher. 

If you have small children you will want to keep this out of their site and out of their reach when you are not in the room.  You should also not let them play with this at all, because while it looks like a toy, it is an actual nut cracker, and it does have stainless steel teeth and springs, a child could seriously smash their fingers with this, so please don't let them play with this, and they will be tempted, especially when they see all the grown ups playing with it.

This is a really timely collector item, and is just kind of funny.  I think the price is way to high but other than that we have enjoyed ours.
