This carrier was exactly what we needed for a trip to my parents' for Thanksgiving. We can't afford a larger car, but with 10-month-old twins and a dog, we were more than cramped for space. We stowed the twins traveling cribs, a large suitcase, two rubbermaid tubs, and a baby gate in this carrier. We had to unload/load for hotel stays along the way and had no problems setting it up each time. Our only complaint would be some slight "singing" by the straps a couple times during the trip. We used it on a Jeep Liberty
