This was my first laptop and it was an easy transition from a desktop because of the wide screen and full keyboard (with ten key number pad). I would buy it again in an instant. Great for watching movies too, it even comes with a mini remote control for viewing ease. It probably wouldn't be ideal for... review »

This is my first laptop and I did as much homework as I could before buying. I should have done my homework on customer care as well. Less than 5 months after buying it I had to send my new laptop to HP for repair. They repaired the wrong thing (soundboard) and wanted to charge me $600.00 even after... review »

I bought the HP Pavilion dv6915nr 3 weeks ago. I Love that laptop. it works perfectly, i can use many programs at the same time. For me its perfect. The sound is perfect. I use this laptop for school, and very soon for college. All the programs work great, it also hasn't given me any kind of problem, and i'm happy to have spent almost 600 bucks for this laptop.

I can't complain (:

My Hp Pavilion Entertainment PC is just what I was looking for in a computer.  I especially like the seventeen inch screen with the numerical keypad on the side of the keyboard.  I had a Toshiba before and it just didn't perform the way I would have like for it to.  I also like that it had Windows Vista installed on it.  I really like the way that it performs.  I use the laptop to check my email and do projects for work on it.  I bought Microsoft Office and installed it on it and it works great.

I have really enjoyed this product, the HP Pavilion Entertainment PC. I am willing to give it great reviews. I would recommend it to my family and friends. I like the large screen, the built in webcam and microphone. I use it with Skype to communicate with family that live away from me. My children even know how to use it. At first I didn't like the touch mouse, that just takes getting used to after using a regular computer. It is easy to keep clean. Very durable, it has been able to keep up with my three small children. My children like the large screen to watch videos on, they can all three sit...

Knowing that I am not an avid review-reader or review-writer, and that I'm not a computer geek by any means, please bear with my on this one....

SCREEN SIZE/WEIGHT:

I have owned my hp pavilion entertainment pc since May 2008.  I did a lot of research on which laptop would be best for my needs, and this one kept coming back.  I do a lot of graphic design work (and surprisingly, I am not a mac user - GASP!, I know), I am online constantly, and I needed to store A LOT of pictures and video.  I purchased the 17.1" widescreen edition because I like to have a lot of screen space for all the windows...

I bought an HP Pavillion Entertainment PC about a year ago and have had so many problems with it.  For the first 4 or 5 months, it would suddenly shut down by itself or freeze.  It still freezes occasionally and all you can do is shut it down.  It takes a minimum of 3 minutes to show the desktop after turning it on, but usually it is longer.  I get HP updates that pop up several times a month, and if you don't click on their flashing webpage on the toolbar and either cancel or remind later, it shuts down and restarts the machine after 10 minutes, most times.  I took it back to Best Buy, and...

I purchased my HP Entertainment Notebook at Circuit City and ended up having to take it back to exchange it for another one because it would not work. The machine would not even come on (which made me have questions up front). Either way CC said since I had already purchased this model I could only exchange it for the same model.  The second notebook worked and I have had average performance out of it.  The battery life is very poor.  I followed all the directions listed to charge the battery for the first time but over a couple of months I found that the battery would only stay charged for...

I bough this laptop a little while ago and am mostly satisfied.  My big gripe is that it came preloaded with a lot of Microsoft programs and is configued to use them.  This would be fine except it only has a trial subscription, after that runs out you need to pay for the programs or the computer gets a bit wacky.  I haven't caved and paid yet, but am having some trouble emailing and editing photos.  I also have to use works instead of word.  On the bright side, I have had less problems with crashing and bugs then previous computers.  The screen is nice and bright and large.  The battery...

The computer is awesome!  I got mine about two months ago and haven't put t down since!  There are so many features that I am constantly discovering.  The graphics are great for game playing and resolution is great for quality dvd watching.  Windows Media Center 11 is great also!  You can watch previews for movies, check out sports scores, access your library of music, games, and video.  The sceen is a fingerprint magnet which requires a lot of cleaning. My biggest problem with the computer is the vista software.  It has given me many headaches due to the barage of unnecessary security... review »

My husband and I each got this computer, the hp pavilion entertainment pc, in late July. We both love this computer so much! I use it for everything. I email, listen to music, watch movies, keep my calendar in order, my files and pictures together, and i can even play games on it. My husband loves it because he is away for work alot and with the web cam he can see me and the kids everyday, and he can watch the latest movies without having to rent them from the video store.

Love having the ability to take my computer with me.  This laptop hit me at the store and I fell in love with it.

Only problem is, the mouse is very very sensitive, even after making the adjustments to correct it.  Every time I typed, my mouse would move around and I would be typing places I shouldn't be typing and it would mess everything up.  So I had to lock the laptop's mouse and plug in my spare.

I was a little leary of any computer with a vista system, but my husband convinced me we needed to keep up with the times. I'm so glad we did! This laptop is light weight, easy to carry and easy to use. The keyboard is soooooooo much better than the Acer I was used to. The 17" screen is so easy to see, no squinting anymore. The built in web cam is so nice too; no more wires!
