This machine is wonderful for an everyday computer user and a person who wants good quality prints from a reasonably priced all-in-one machine. It prints fast in just black, pictures are a bit slower, but really great quality if you use the special photo ink. Photo ink is a must if you want your treasured photos to last without fading or discoloring over time. It prints in black and color, copies, scans, and prints photos. It has features I haven't even used yet and discover wonderful things about this unit every time I use it. You can choose the paper you use to optimize print quality, choose how many copies and if you want them in black and white or color, chose to scan and enlarge or shrink, and tons of other great, usable features that are easy to figure out how to use. The only con is that sometimes when printing a large quantity (a little more than one ream of paper) or use it repetitively for an extended amount of time continuously (2 1/2 hours or more), it can stop occasionally and do some self adjusting that can be slow, but it does get the job done and is well worth the wait when weighed against all the other wonderful attributes. Ink cartridges are recyclable!! and can in some places be turned in for discounts on new cartridges, up to $2.00 off new cartridges per one cartridge turned in at some places!!! Environmentally friendly and easy on the budget (for initial price and ink replacements).
