The HP Photosmart C4280 All-In-One (AIO) is a nice simplified all new product. It will work with Windows Vista, though I have Windows XP. I could have spent $50 more and got a version with WiFi wireless networking. However, I don't use my network that much. It was more a technical accomplishment than a usefull network. The Photosmart AIO sets up very easy. Just unwrap, plug in the USB when the installer says to, snap in the ink cartridges, press OK to print a test sheet, scan the test sheet, and then you are up and running. The hardest part is registering the product.
I like the stylish look of the AIO and the fold up paper tray. The AIO can print directly from the camera memory with built in card reader. Software expands the functionality of the AIO so you can make hundreds of copies or adjust lighten/darken. The price of the ink cartridges are almost 50% cheaper than the AIO's cartridges sold around 1998. I think this little AIO and me are going to work out fine.
