Hewlett Packard Photo Printers Review

The Hewlett Packard photosmart full color printer is all it is cracked up to be!  This machine has been a joy to use for many reasons.  The printing takes a little while, not very fast, but the photo is worth the wait.  The color that comes out is very true to life.  The ink required to run the Hewlett Packard photosmart printer is in two separate cartriges, not one like ordinary color or photo printers.  The ink comes in two separate cartiriges that together are six diffferent colors.  This is great because it developes great color photos, the color of your pictures are very vivid.  The bad thing about the ink cartriges is not the look of the ink on the photo's but the cost of the ink itself.  The ink cartriges used for the Hewlett Packard photosmart printer cost about $47.00.I think the cost is a little on the high end compared to my old HP photo printer where as the ink only cost about $25.00 if I remember right.  The ink does not last that long.  I print about ten photo's a week and the ink lasts me about three months.  This is a little aggrivating because it seems like I am always buying ink for my printer but oh well, everything has is negative ponts and the poitives outweigh the negatives in this case.

The last thing that needs mentioning would be the photo paper.  You really only need to buy one size, the 11 by 13 size I think, I could be wrong on the size, sorry but I do remember it being convienient only having to buy one size insted of a package of 4 by 6 then 5 by 7 then 8 by 10.  That was a hassle.  The price is a bit high for me though, whether it is glossy, semi glossy, or matte you still pay the same price.  I can't remember the price, sorry, but I do remember it stinging my pocket book for sure.

So, all in all I love the Hewlett Packard Photo Printer!!!  It is very reliable and the software is extreamly stable and the program is easy to use and includes many editing functions that come in handy and are easy to learn, use and remember.  There was no need to read a manual or use any short codes, all of the editing functions has it's own icon so there is nothing to read or learn about it is all right there for you.  So, print away and enjoy!!!
