Hewlett Packard Pavillion DV6000 Laptop Reviews

I purchased a HP  Laptop 1 year and 4 months ago (4 months outside warranty), and the motherboard started to melt, burning internal peices making the Drive and the wireless card useless.  I had two stores confirm that this issue was 100% the product NOT the user.   To fix this issue HP wants me to pay $400, around half of what I paid for the laptop.   All they said was that I was outside the warranty period and they cant do anything, I have been dealing with this for 3 weeks now, and havent got anywhere with them.  They tell me they will call back, they dont, they keep tellling me to wait...

bought my HP pavillion dv6000 3 years ago.  within the first 6 months the letter j kept coming off.  start of second year letter s followed with letter d next.  i had a hard time putting the letters back again and again so just had to make do without the letter pads.  start of the 3rd year it completely blanked out.  not a cursor in sight.  battery still has life...i am a very meticulous and careful user but it didn't work.  my niece's HP laptop (forgot what series but newer series) had its letter pad detached with the 5th month. good thing it gave up its ghost before the warranty expired...
