This has been a great laptop with very few problems. My main complaint is that at one point HP had a recall and they needed to fix something on my laptop after windows did an update that left something on my HP hardware incompatible. Yes, I was grateful HP was willing ot fix it for free since it was technically past the warranty date, but I had to mail them my laptop (my only computer) and they said it would be gone for 2-3 weeks and that they would wipe the hard drive clean and restore it to its original state. I had to buy an external hard drive and wait to send it in until I was leaving on a trip over Christmas so I could afford to be without a computer for several weeks. I was disappointed with their customer service. The other problem I've found is that anytime iTunes wants to update itself it erases my DVD drive. It happened enough that I figured out with the online support system how to restore it. Now I can go in and do it myself easily, but its still a pain. I don't know if any laptop has incompatibility issues with iTunes or not, but this one seems to. Other than that, its been a great computer and I've really had no issues. Obviously like most laptops eventually the battery has worn down, so I'll have to replace that at some point as well... but I've had it over 2 years and it still works just great. The battery just doesn't last as long.
