This is a great printer. You can print great quality photos. The best part is, you don't even have to have the pictures downloaded on your computer, you can insert your memory card right in the printer and choose from there which ones you want to print. You can even add boarders to the pictures and choose your size and amount you want printed. The scanner feature is also great to have in the printer. You can scan or if you want you can also copy. You have the option to copy in black or color. The only downfall with this printer is the ink can be expensive. But if you buy all the colors together in the pack it is a better deal then buying them one at a time.

**I have always purchased Hewlett Packard computers, printers, ink cartridges, etc. However, my biggest mistake was purchasing the Hewlett Packard PSC 1507 All-In-One InkJet Printer. Not only is this printer not capable of scanning larger items, it also is quite "clumsy" when it comes to scanning anything other than paper thin items. I find the most irritating feature is that everytime you insert a new ink cartridge the system insists on "aligning" the paper and will not allow you toprint until you allow the copier to do so. Not only is this a waste of time, but more importantly it is a huge waste of precious INK printing out an "alignment" paper. It is very unnecessary in my view to align the entire system with each new ink cartridge. Because I do a lot of printing in my business I go through at least a new Black Cartridge every six to eight weeks. It is too costly for me to continue to use this HP Printer and I will be searching for a new one soon. **

I will try not to be too harsh in this review since the printer did manage to print out a couple of documents, eventually. When I first brought the printer home and took it out of the box, everything looked fine. I followed all of the steps to get it setup and got to the point where I was ready to print...but nothing happened. I double checked everything but only found the issue when I lightly tapped on the usb cord. Yes, there was a short circuit in the cord of a brand new printer. I had to hold the usb cord in place in order for it to work. So I returned it to the store only to have the very same issue with the replacement. Also, using the scanner took over 10 minutes to scan one document. The software took a long time to open up on my computer and the scanner itself is extremely slow. I was not too pleased with the quality of the scan either. The quality of the color copier is also pretty poor. I was very disappointed in HP for releasing such a poor quality product.

I got this printer a few years ago at a fair price. I bought it to scan family pictures into the computer and then print them out for scrap booking. The scanning works fairly well but it is a little slow. The software for the computer is fairly simple to understand. The printer works quite well, we used glossy paper and printed qut quite a few pictures. The ink tends to run out quickly which is a huge con as everyone knows ink is really very pricey. I've since gotten myself another higher quality printer and given this one to the children to use for their homework projects. It works well for this purpose, although they are mostly printing out in black and white so I am not having to replace the color ink cartridge very often. If I had it to do over again I might not have purchased an all in one and rather went for a stand alone scanner but I can't complain as the price of this wasn't so outrageous for me to have expected more out of it.

I have been using this printer for a couple of years now.  We got it at a very affordable price and then got a rebate on it as well, so it turned out to be a terrific deal for us.  I have found it very handy to have a copier at home.  It obviously isn't as quick as just a standard copier, but quite adequate for personal use.  I had never used a scanner before, but have now used it to scan in all of my old photos.  It worked very nicely.  I have been very pleased with it.  Once or twice over the years, it got hung up with trying to do the test print each time I turned it on rather than just when you put in a new ink cartridge like it's supposed to do.  But each time, I went to their on-line service desk and received very good help.  The service tech knew exactly what to do and was able to convey that to me very quickly and easily to get it back on track.  For me, that is more important than having an infallible machine, if there is such a thing.  It works outstandingly as a printer as well.
