HP hit a homerun with this machine. It is superior for the home office. There are apparently several variations of this machine and as priced by Office Depot, Staples, and other stores, it is a bargain.

To start, I have used this machine for high quality letters and reports for about a year and am still on the starter cartridge. I use the efficiency mode and for 90% of the reports I write, that does the trick.

The machine features an excellent duplexing mode with minimum intervention.  Unlike older machines, where one had to take out the paper printed on one side, and carefully re-orient and re-load, this machine provides a quick and easy solution with on-screen guidance. This saves paper and time.  Of course professional duplexing machines are nice; but this is ideal for home use where space and budget are limited.

Like all machines, it is wise to keep dust out with an off duty cover.  I turn mine on when needed but this one will stand being on all day. 
Store gurus tell me that HP inkjets have declined in quality while HP ink costs have gone way up. This black ink-only machine bucks that trend with efficient use of laser jet ink and ease of use.
