Hewlett Packard HP Pavillion DV6000 Laptop —
I own the HP Pavilion dv6253cl. While it has served me well, it definitely was not worth the amount I paid for it. After having it for only 8 months, the battery life has dwindled down to less than an hour and a half, even with the screen dimmed all the way down. That is absolutely unacceptable. Also, my hard drive is starting to fail, with bad sectors showing up all around. I know how hard drives work and I NEVER move my laptop without putting it in sleep or hibernate (parking the hard drive read head) and yet this hard drive is still having problems. It is cheap, what can I say. Not to mention Windows Vista is absolutely horrible, and when contacting HP to try and trade Vista for XP, they said they have completely given up on XP and don't have the capability to switch anymore. Also, this laptop is very heavy compared to what equipment is in there, and it get VERY hot and noisy if it is on for awhile. Overall, while this laptop does the things that you want it to, the equipment is cheap and most likely will fail soon.
