Most HelpfulThis is my 4th HP computer, I had 2 destops and 2 laptops. I am also a stockholder and my shares have to go up $30 just to break even! So you know I wouldn't say something bad about HP unless it was for real. My laptop lost the wireless connection after I had it 4 months. My laptop never leaves...
review »This was my very first note book purchase, and I researched them quite thoroughly for my price range. I spent around $2000 but got a top of the line processor, of course the 19inch monitor, which was a necessity for me, because I got my lap top for games. I also hooked up wireless internet at my house with a cable modem. I very rarely now actually have to sit down at my older computer, in the computer room, and now consider it nearly obsolete. I love the convenience of just grabbing my laptop and having it everywhere that I go. If I am bored, and wake up in the middle of the night, I...

This is my opinion. I think most hp computers are not engineered properly. All are lookalike a copy cat. How could one fan cool down 3 monsters IC's, which are heat sink together? I do not know why the video IC, is not built on separate board with its own cooling fan, or at least it should have socket that people could buy the IC and change it instead of tossing the motherboard which is too expensive. I do not know if hp cares about customer satisfaction anymore or not? So far anyone I talked to said to me Apple's computer are the best, they look good, they work good, they...
review »I've owned the dv9535 for about three months now. I love it. It's bulky to travel with, but not heavy really. It is very feature laden and essentially a desktop replacement, which is exactly what we bought it for. The HD monitor is great and movies look fantastic on it. The processor is very fast and I get much better battery life than I expected to with such a huge screen. I love the full keyboard with 10 key as well. Overall very good quality, very few problems, and good value as well.
Bought it a a great price. Had to spend extra to upgrade the memory . It ships with two 512 MB chips. to upgrade to the max you have to remove both of them and replace them with one gig of ram on each slot . Would be helpful for HP to ship it with one Gig of ram in just one slot so that you could upgrade at half the price.
If was vista ready when I bought it . I installed Vista as instructed and found that it wasn't compatabale with the hardware on this system . I uninstalled Vista went back to XP and couldn't be happier.
<p style="text-align: left; color: #4d4d4f; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; border: initial none initial;">The 2GB of DDR2 RAM makes for an excellent starting point for the Windows Vista Home Premium operating system (we don't recommend anything less for either it or Ultimate), and the 500GB hard drive allows you plenty of space for recording shows via the pre-installed TV-tuner card. Still more storage is accessible via the HP Media Drive and Pocket Media Drive bays, which accept HP's removable hard drive modules. There's also a 15-format flash-card reader,... review »
I bought my HP Pavillion dv9000 about 3 years ago. It was the first laptop I have had and I absolutely fell in love with it from the beginning. I enjoyed the freedom of not being tied to a home PC all of the time.
It has alot of features that I enjoy. From the large 17" screen to touch sensitive media controls. It has 1024 MB system memory and 100GB hard drive and Windows Vista Premium ready. Another great feature is the Super Multi 8X DVD R/RW drive.
After owning the laptop for a year, there were issues discovered with the mother board. I was so disheartened, thinking that I was going to have...
