This was my very first note book purchase, and I researched them quite thoroughly for my price range. I spent around $2000 but got a top of the line processor, of course the 19inch monitor, which was a necessity for me, because I got my lap top for games. I also hooked up wireless internet at my house with a cable modem. I very rarely now actually have to sit down at my older computer, in the computer room, and now consider it nearly obsolete. I love the convenience of just grabbing my laptop and having it everywhere that I go. If I am bored, and wake up in the middle of the night, I just get out my laptop, and play games, and e-mail till I am tired again. The only negative thing that I can think to say is that it does take a little while to boot up from shut down, like 3-4 minutes, but if you just put into hibernation and close it, it starts up almost immediately. I've been told that the fact that my battery lasts, 4 hours, is a good thing as well. But nearly every where I go with it, I plug it in. I like the display monitor at bright, when its plugged in. I also recommend getting a lot of memory, because that is the one thing that I always seem to run out on other computers. So for this one I got 120 dual drives. I haven't had a problem yet. I also recommend getting the Intel processor over the AMD, because AMD is cheaper, but overheats more quickly and drains your battery. Over all I love my laptop.
