HP dv9040, worked great the 50% of time it wasn't being fixed

Hewlett Packard HP Pavilion DV9000 —
I absolutely loved my HP dv9040 laptop, Despite its size, it was easy to get around with if necessary. The only thing that was quirky was the webcam, which had limited capabilities, so I used an external one. However , occasionally it would get proprietary and take over even
if not supposed to be on. But the main thing, it was out for repair 3 times in 11 months for 14 weeks, after which HP sent it back unrepaired because the warranty expired and they wanted $753- to replace the motherboard. (even though they had it for several weeks prior to the warranties expiration) The first two repairs was to first reformat, and secondly replace the hard drive. It ended up being the worst investment , (over $2000-) that I had ever made. HP
also would not return numerous phone calls or emails, and trying to get through to someone
on their system would challenge the patience of Job!
