Hewlett Packard HP Pavilion DV6700 Notebook PC Reviews

I purchased this HP Pavillion Notebook for business use and was quite pleased with the touch and feel of the keyboard.  I love my notebook and how it performs for me, but it does have a MAJOR problem that HP has failed to find out what is causing it, and that is that it overheats and shuts itself off.  I purchased a cooler with a built in fan to help with the overheating, but at times, this doesn't help.  Also, you can't play games on this computer, anything that has a place where a seperate window comes up, it will overheat and shut off.  I have sent it back to HP, twice now, only to have...

I have an HP Pavilion Entertainment PC DV6700. I LOVE this laptop because it is easy to use. If I am unsure how do use a funtion on the laptop, all I have to do is search for it in the start menu. I will say, however, that it was VERY different than the Windows XP that I was used to. This laptop (mine anyway) features Windows Vista, which I am not a fan of. I have decided that I like certain aspects of Vista better than XP, such as the option of using tabs while on the internet. I think it was just too fast of a jump. Have had this laptop for a year now, and would buy it again. Had to replace the keyboard and the DVD drive in the first few months, but it went pretty fast with HP sending me a mailer to use in returning it.

Performance has been good for editing music and photos. Burns DVDs fine, if a little slow.

Liked it well enough to buy one for my wife, and she has had no problems.

I purchased this computer over the summer so I have had it for less than six months but I have to say that so far I am very pleased with it! I replaced a dell notebook that was getting along in years that I was never pleased with.

I love my HP! They are amazing computers and very durable and realiable.
