My old laptop finally died so it was time for a new one.  When the salesman recommended this HP it looked like it had everything I needed so I was sold.  I bought it for about $850 and it has everything I need to check emails, do work and watch videos and listen to music.  I love the high graphics... read full review »

I had this labtop for over a year now. I customized online instead of buying it from circuit city or best buy so the price was a bit higher then usual. But the computer had served me well over the year, no major problems. I have reinstalled windows five times and the hardrive never seems to slow down. Now, I got three different OS on it. OSX, Windows and Ubuntu and the computer can handle them all.

The mouse pad and the key board are my favorite. They works very well, the mouse pad is very smooth but sometimes hard to navigate with. So I bought myself a mouse from HP. The moust has the some blue...

The HP Pavilion dv2500t notebook was a last-minute buy before I left for a year in Europe. My old laptop was on its last leg, and I wanted an affordable laptop that had enough features to serve its purpose, but not so over-the-top that I didn't need/use half its specs. This laptop has been great so far - I mostly use it for keeping in touch with my friends and family online, viewing/editing/storing/sharing my travel pictures, listening to music, and watching videos. Because this laptop is entertainment-oriented, it has been great for me. The design of the notebook itself is smooth, sleek, and funky... read full review »

I absolutely hate this computer. I had a toshiba which I recently replaced with the HP Pavilion dv2000. I wish I had never gotten rid of my Toshiba. This computer is constantly freezing up or over heating. It usually crashes or randomly shuts itself down at least twice a day. I have had it into Geek Squad 3 times since I bought it 4 months ago. I bought it for primarily note taking during class and when it crashes 3 times in one class it gets really aggervating. I hate that it came with Windows Vista and I don't like that it shows every finger print. I'm slightly OCD and somedays I feel I spend... read full review »

I bought this in order to have a portable pc for travelling.  It's nice and small, not quite as small as a mac but it works.  It has decent processing speed.  The best thing was the price.  You get a lot with this laptop for a reasonable price.  If you've got the money go with the mac but if you want a great laptop while saving $1000 then go for the hp.

Great value especially if you can find it on sale. Very easy to use, and impressive features like LightScribe. Battery life (with the battery it comes with) is ok. Plenty of ports for various stuff, nice screen quality, and has a webcam/microphone. Great for college students.

I bought this laptop in May of 2007 and I love it.  I'm taking classes online so I use it every day and have only had a problem with my charger (which was replaced with the protection plan I purchased with the computer).  I bought it at Circuit City and HIGHLY recommend their cityassure protection plan--they're friendly, provide fast service and are very easy to work with.  The computer itself is great...the only thing I don't like about it is the battery doesn't last very long; I like to sit outside and do my schoolwork.  I'm not a high-tech computer user, I mainly use it for talking to friends... read full review »

The HP dv2000 is a great first time laptop and great for college students.  The only bad thing about this computer is that it gets very hot very fast.  The movie player isn't that great.  Windows vista takes up alot of the battery life.. so you will be connected to the wall through class.  I LOVE my laptop.. the wifi is amazing and will pick-up thefaintest of signals.  The built-in webcam is awesome as well as the scroll bar is my favorite part of the laptop.  I love how you can connect a bamboo fun pad and use the tablet application on the laptop.  Its a great notebook.

I like this lappie. Got a ton of power and speed for 1000 bucks!

My favorite part of the laptop is how easy it is to turn on and off and to set on standby mode.

It is very user friendly and came with a lot of extras for the price, including a webcam, microphone and fingerprint reader. (All built in.)

It has every hole imaginable, including 2 USB, a DVD drive, Lightscribe and more.

I recently bought the "special edition" Hp DV2000; it has a lot of features - lightscribe, webcam, 3 gig ram, etc; but the unit runs a little hot and the battery life is below average; the most disappointing feature though is the mouse pad - very contrary, despite messing with the settings at length - it freezes and gets behind when running a couple of programs at once.

I really enjoy using this product ,it has pretty good features like the bluetooth capabilities , the built- in mic & web cam and the fact that comes with windows Vista. It does get a little hot ,So I had to purchase a fan .I wish the battery charge would last longer, besides that it's a pretty good product.

I bought this laptop for my daughter for college. She absolutely loves it. When I used it, I noticed how easy it was to navigate the controls. Plus it was light weight. I would recommedn this laptop to anyone.
