My old laptop finally died so it was time for a new one.  When the salesman recommended this HP it looked like it had everything I needed so I was sold.  I bought it for about $850 and it has everything I need to check emails, do work and watch videos and listen to music.  I love the high graphics... read full review »

I absolutely hate this computer. I had a toshiba which I recently replaced with the HP Pavilion dv2000. I wish I had never gotten rid of my Toshiba. This computer is constantly freezing up or over heating. It usually crashes or randomly shuts itself down at least twice a day. I have had it into Geek... read full review »

While the HP Pavilion dv2000 laptop computer seems like a value for your money, it really is not.  The operating system is windows vista and there are just too many problems and headaches with that operating system.  The updates caused our computer to start running really slow.  Then the computer started shutting itself off and turning itself back on by itself.  Sometimes when we turned the computer on, the lights at the top of the keyboard would be lit up and we would have sound but the screen was blank and there was nothing you could do except to turn the computer off and then turn it back...

The Dvd burner broke down a few days after the warranty expired. I had to pay $300 to get it fixed. It is not worth the money. Poor quality of the product!

I had this labtop for over a year now. I customized online instead of buying it from circuit city or best buy so the price was a bit higher then usual. But the computer had served me well over the year, no major problems. I have reinstalled windows five times and the hardrive never seems to slow down. Now, I got three different OS on it. OSX, Windows and Ubuntu and the computer can handle them all.

The mouse pad and the key board are my favorite. They works very well, the mouse pad is very smooth but sometimes hard to navigate with. So I bought myself a mouse from HP. The moust has the some blue...

The HP Pavilion dv2500t notebook was a last-minute buy before I left for a year in Europe. My old laptop was on its last leg, and I wanted an affordable laptop that had enough features to serve its purpose, but not so over-the-top that I didn't need/use half its specs. This laptop has been great so far - I mostly use it for keeping in touch with my friends and family online, viewing/editing/storing/sharing my travel pictures, listening to music, and watching videos. Because this laptop is entertainment-oriented, it has been great for me. The design of the notebook itself is smooth, sleek, and funky... read full review »

I bought this in order to have a portable pc for travelling.  It's nice and small, not quite as small as a mac but it works.  It has decent processing speed.  The best thing was the price.  You get a lot with this laptop for a reasonable price.  If you've got the money go with the mac but if you want a great laptop while saving $1000 then go for the hp.

Great value especially if you can find it on sale. Very easy to use, and impressive features like LightScribe. Battery life (with the battery it comes with) is ok. Plenty of ports for various stuff, nice screen quality, and has a webcam/microphone. Great for college students.

This was the first laptop I have ever bought and I did lots of research to prepare for the purchase.  I have been very pleased with the laptop It has MORE than met my expectations.  It has a lightscribe feature that actually burns the image on specially purchased discs.  I choose NOT to use this feature just becasue of the expense of the discs and I choose to print COLORFUL labels on discs with my HP printer.  The duo core processor is enough to handle my processing needs.  I do lots of video processing and it is plenty capable of handling this burden.  It has a built in webcam which is another...

The HP dv2000 is a great first time laptop and great for college students.  The only bad thing about this computer is that it gets very hot very fast.  The movie player isn't that great.  Windows vista takes up alot of the battery life.. so you will be connected to the wall through class.  I LOVE my laptop.. the wifi is amazing and will pick-up thefaintest of signals.  The built-in webcam is awesome as well as the scroll bar is my favorite part of the laptop.  I love how you can connect a bamboo fun pad and use the tablet application on the laptop.  Its a great notebook.

I like this lappie. Got a ton of power and speed for 1000 bucks!

My favorite part of the laptop is how easy it is to turn on and off and to set on standby mode.

It is very user friendly and came with a lot of extras for the price, including a webcam, microphone and fingerprint reader. (All built in.)

It has every hole imaginable, including 2 USB, a DVD drive, Lightscribe and more.

I really enjoy using this product ,it has pretty good features like the bluetooth capabilities , the built- in mic & web cam and the fact that comes with windows Vista. It does get a little hot ,So I had to purchase a fan .I wish the battery charge would last longer, besides that it's a pretty good product.
