Hershey's Chicago - Chicago, IL —

We visited the Hershey's store in Chicago during our fist trip, so of course I had to make sure and visit it during our second trip!  It's located right off of Michigan Avenue, so it's easy to get to when you are out and about walking the Magnificent Mile.

The Hershey's store sells...
Exactly what you would expect, Hershey's!  Hershey's kisses, Hershey's bars, Hershey's syrup, Hershey's gifts and more.  They also sell things they make under other brands such as Reese's.  Sure you can buy almost any of these candies at other places, but the Hershey's store presents you with the unique opportunity to find various candy gifts.  This could be as simple as a mug that says Hershey's and has candy in it, or you can get something more novelty like a stuffed animal.

We all dream of buying the 5 Lb Hershey Bar, but if you are like me you say NO!  Instead I visit just to buy one novelty item and, of course, some candy.

They also serve snacks...
Last time we visited right after the Cheesecake Factory, so we were way too stuffed for a snack.  However it was very tempting to get something at the snack counter which served various cookies and treats.  Everything looked amazing, and I saw some people enjoying them so I'm sure they were good.  Self-control was my friend that day though, so we didn't get any.

Have a Birthday Bash...
We arrived shortly after a bday bash had wrapped up.  There is an area in the back with tables and chairs for kids.  Looking online, the price looks a little expensive considering all you get is candy and desserts (no real food), but the kids that were still there seemed to enjoy it.

The Store is Small
The only downside is that the store is small, and when too many tourists come in who aren't actually shopping, it can get annoying.  Here I am trying to pick out my one novelty item, and people kept swarming in, playing with the products, getting in the way, then leaving without buying a single thing.  I don't know if the store has room to expand, but it would definitely benefit from it.  I would just as well eliminate the birthday bash area and spread out the product some more.  I would also like to see more variety of products as well.  Being that this is THE Hershey's store, they could definitely benefit from having as much Hershey's product as possible.

You must visit Hershey's Chicago even if just to buy one fun item to take home with you.  You will find great gifts for the chocolate lovers in your life as well as the basic candy we all love.  Enjoy!!

I got a cup with candy each time, one was just a small glass mug, and last time I got a cocoa type mug. I gotta get something everytime I'm there :)

I've lived in the Chicagoland area for years now, and I didn't even realize there was a Hershey store in Chicago. I'm going to have to stop in for a visit next time I'm downtown. :)
