Hershey's - Candy Corn Kisses —

After disastrous results with the Hershey's Pumpkin Spice Kisses and the Marshmallow Flavored Kisses, I decided to give another new flavor, Hershey's Candy Corn Kisses, a try.  I'm a sucker for all things fall and love to try new products so this was a no-brainer for me.

Initially it was the cute candy corn packaging that caught my eye.  The warm fall colors and pictures of candy corn on the front of the package put me into a festive mood.  I was even more impressed when I opened the package and saw the adorable foil wrappers in colors of yellow, orange, and silver.  Even the well-known Hershey's flags are festive with "Candy Corn" written on each one.  These Kisses would make great party favors or used as decorations.

The unwrapped Candy Corn Kisses are as cute as their wrappers.  Each Kiss has three layers of colors similar to a piece of candy corn - yellow, orange, and white.

Okay, so the Candy Corn Kisses were really cute but more importantly, how were they going to taste?  The bag of Kisses smelled like butter to me so I was worried that I was going to be eating something that tasted like popcorn instead of something sweet.  I needn't have worried because the Candy Corn Kisses were definitely sweet tasting.  I didn't immediately love the first Kiss that I tried but they sort of grew on me.  I finally decided that they tasted like a cross between white chocolate and butterscotch.

I love chocolate and have no problem (over) filling my daily quota of it but the Candy Corn Kisses are sweeter than chocolate and there is no way that I could eat several in one sitting.  That's not a bad thing!

Overall, I really do like the Candy Corn Kisses.  They taste good and are soooo cute.  I made the peanut butter/oatmeal cookie recipe on the back of the package, and while it was pretty good, I would have preferred to make chocolate cookies and top them with the Candy Corn Kisses.

I'm glad that I gave Hershey's the benefit of the doubt and tried the Candy Corn Kisses.  I see them all over the place so I'm sure that you'll have no problem finding a bag of them to try for yourself.  Like me, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Actually, I have a coworker who gets upset with me every spring because she brings her daughter's order form in and I tell her I still have the cookies I bought from her 2 yrs. earlier. At first I didn't think she believed me until she heard others talk about how little I ate. Hey, it's better that I have the cookies in my freezer and not the Girl Scouts, huh? A little Halloween humor :+)

LOL - so are the Girl Scouts mad at you because you don't need to buy any current inventory from them? We don't get many trick-or-treaters here because we live on a block that has a lot of space between houses. We take the kids to our church on Halloween and they have a ton of fun. No old candy there though. ;)

Happy to do it. I sent to everyone on my fan's list. I don't know how many will answer you or when. They're really nice. Many blessings.

I don't have trick-or-treaters and I can't remember the last time I was even home on Halloween. My house is in the middle of the woods, literally so no one but my cousin knows I am back there. I am usually with my best friends and their children on Halloween. The candy was for goody bags I made for my coworkers. My best friend made me a candy cane kisses cheesecake last year. The recipe was on the package and it turned out pretty and tasted okay. I was told you could freeze Girl Scout cookies to keep them fresh. Well, I still have 2 boxes in my freezer and they are going on three years old ;+)

Wow, thanks for referrring a lot of your friends to me. I really appreciate it and look forward to getting to know more people on VP. It's a great community (when I sit down and find the time to do it). Have a good night!

Wow, I thought I was bad for having candy from Valentine's Day leftover but you have me beat (lol). Yeah, you might not want to pass out the old candy for Halloween this year. ;) BTW, I also like the candy cane kisses and could probably eat the entire bag if left alone with it. Thankfully, I have kids who "help" me eat them.

Mindyvol, great review! We didn't have any of the Hershey's kisses flavors you mentioned in my area. We only had the regular, almond and swirl. I really would like to try, or at least see, the candy corn, pumpkin spice and marshmallow flavors. Even though I can't taste them, you made them sound delicious.

OMG!!! I bet I would love these!! They sound so good. I like white chocolate and butterscotch so this is my kind of candy. Thanks for the info in this great review.

What are they going to think of next? I like the candy cane kisses. I don't care for chocolate so I have to find it mixed with something else before I will try it. I don't eat much of anything. I still have Halloween candy from 2 yrs. ago--yes, I better throw it out and I still have my candy kisses from last Christmas in my freezer.

Samples are good. Maybe I'll check the website. Your welcome for the comments. C'mon... I'm not really the only one am I? I'll refer you to my fans. That should help bring you a few more readers. : )

I'm with you on the samples! ;) Thank you for all of the nice comments. It's nice to know that someone besides myself reads my reviews (lol).

I've been curious about these. Plus they cost a lot more than the traditional candy corn. Wish they gave samples. : )
