Heroes Review Summary

Viewpoints reviewers say Heroes is "not just for comic book fans."  This show on NBC focuses on a group of unique people throughout the world with super powers.  Some are just discovering their power, while others have had them for a long time.  "Heroes is written like a comic book with out the feel of being a comic book."  Sci-Fi fans are addicted to this show claiming it has a great storyline, great acting and great writing.  Reviewers also love the special effects and imagination put into the show.  Overall the show has positive reviews.  "Awesome, Totally Hooked, My Whole Family Loves It!"   Just be forewarned that the storyline is a bit confusing with a lot of characters to learn about.  Otherwise, enjoy Heroes and other NBC Shows: ER, Last Comic Standing, and My Name is Earl.

Imagine that one day you wake up and there is something different about you.  At first you don't really know what is happening to you.  You know you aren't sick.  You still don't know what it is.  All you do know is that you have an ability that you didn't the day… read full review »

It remainds me X-men all the time. Some characters are more complex than usual, and the result is very good. Sometimes, it is hard to say who is the bad guy. The suspense is excellent. I have not seen the first season, but I think it is a very good show. You have to see it. —… read full review »

I wait for this show all week, every week, and at the end of each episode I can't believe it's already been an hour. — I love that none of the main characters are one-dimensional. They're believable and I'm really attached to them. — The only negative I can think of in regards to this show is that the storyline is complex, and moves from episode to episode in chapters. Each one picks up right where the previous one left off, so I can't imagine it would be easy to start watching in the middle. — If you haven't been watching, find what you've missed online and get… read full review »

I love this show! The characters are great but there is becoming too many lately I think. I also wish that they would always speak in English. I become very engrossed with the story line and think it will never end. It is very exciting and you never know what will happen next. I would recommend this show to anyone but if you have missed any of the previous shows then it is hard to understand the present… read full review »

The cast of this show is pretty awesome.  It is a show you definitely have to pay attention to but it's a fun show for the most part.  I like guessing what will happen next.  There's such a wide variety of characters that for me there is never a dull moment.  I love all the powers the characters have.  I like to imagine how it would be to have each one (just for… read full review »

My husband started following it, and I got hooked, except I spent the entire first season trying to figure out what I was missing???   The story lines are very intricate and intertwined, and it was almost as if this was based upon something else that I should have seen and read first.   By the second season, I was up to speed and it turned into a very addicting program-Thank heavens for the DVR or I might not have left the living room....for fear of being left behind again and needing a whole new season just to figure out what I… read full review »

I can't say enough good things about Heroes!  I really, really don't like the current state of television... "reality" shows make me sick, and I can't stand 90% of the "regular" shows out there.  So trust me when I say that Heroes is NOT like the rest of the drivel on TV!  Heroes is crammed full of interesting characters, exciting plot twists, fascinating powers, and great special effects. — Admittedly, I came into the show late.  I resisted the suggestions of all of my friends that I watch Heroes when it first premiered.  I was really loathe to watch another… read full review »

I love this show I never miss an episode. I make sure I am always home on Mondays to watch it. There is something about the feel of the show that makes me feel like a kid again. I get the excitment like I did when I saw Goonies for the first time as a little kid. I love the fact that they use actors that (although I recognize alot from bits here and there) but that haven't had huge roles anywhere else. (Except for our Felicity star, Matt) And with the exception of Veronica Mars, I don't like the addition of her. I like her in general but not on Heros. Hiro is awesome his character is so cute,… read full review »

Everyone talks about this show at my husbands job, so when he heard G4 was going to have a Heroes marathon and replay season one, he set the DVR to record it.  I initially had no interest.  Between 24 and Lost, that's enough drama for me.  The rest of my time is devoted to HGTV.  Boy, was I wrong!  After watching the first two episodes at one shot, I was hooked.  We watched the entire first season over a period of one week! — Very fast paced and packed with interesting characters and plot lines.  A lot of people are saying it is a bit confusing, but I… read full review »

Due to a schedule change, we haven't been able to watch the second season - have them all recorded on our comcast dvr - have heard mixed reviews of the second season but can't help wondering if these are because people have started watching the show who aren't truly fans of this type of show.  You know, the ones who watch whatever is popular.  The idea that humanity is going to evolve new abilities seems to be a realistic proposition.  The idea that this many different abilities would develop simultaneously is less likely...and yet thoroughly fascinating to contemplate. … read full review »

Lost is a fabulous TV show.  I was addicted after the first show.  It is like you have to see what happens to the characters next.  They let you see enough that you want more because you don't have enough information.  It is like you need to know more to figure out what is happening.  They leave you with more questions after every show, but it is just that they leave you with different questions after every show.  It is the most addictive show I have ever watched.  It is not for children, adults content in the story line and language.  The only real… read full review »

I love this show! Remember when you were little, and loved all the superheroes, like Wonder Woman, Superman, Spiderman, & Catwoman? You wanted to be like them, because they were special. They helped people, saved them from danger, and were loved by all! This show, although it seems to have a lot of these characters, they overwhelm you by adding a new hero with a special power every show, it gets a little confusing, but awesome nonetheless! — — These characters bring out the best in all of us! You feel for the good guy trying to help while hating the bad guy and cursing him every… read full review »

I started watching "Heroes" when they were on the 17th of 23 episodes. All of my friends were raving about it, so I decided to check it out. I watched the first episode online and thought that it was interesting. After the second episode, I was hooked. I would watch at least two episodes a day until I finally saw them all(one night I stayed up until 2am)! The characters are from all walks of life, but are all connected some way. The answers to your questions about past episodes are never revealed right away, but are kept for the perfect moment, just in time to make you say "whoah!" It's one… read full review »

One of the reasons I gave this show a chance was because the episodes were available on the NBC website; I am very busy, and can't always be sitting at home on Monday nights to watch the episodes as they air.  I am so glad I did.  Even though it slipped a little earlier this (second) season, it was mainly because the producers and writers were trying new things that didn't quite work out.  I can't fault good shows for trying new things, it's what keeps them from becoming formulaic.  The creator admitted that they took some missteps, but it has remained one of my favorite… read full review »

I am glued to the TV every Monday night. From 9-10:01 I am dead to the world. The storyline is great. And I'm always left at the end of the show anxious to see next weeks episode. Peter and the Cheerleader are my 2 most favorite characters. I think I would cry if something ever happened to either one of them. I saw the previews for next week and they said that 2 heroes would have to die. It really hurts my heart to hear that. I love all the characters, they bring such a clever mix to the show. I also love to see a new hero emerge and wonder what their powers are going to be. And Sylar, I'm… read full review »
