Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo —

Okay, members I am beginning to get the hang of this site and I'm loving it!  I am always trying new shampoos and conditioners.  Every time I run out I try a new one.  Generally my "referral" is the result of a TV commercial.  You know how that goes.  The woman has beautiful, to die for hair and you want to look as good as her so you figure what the hey, I'll give it a try.  But that wasn't the case with Herbal Essences Hello Hydration (blue/green bottle).  I stayed at one of my best friend's home unexpectedly--yeah, single girls can do that sort of thing!  Her daughter left the shampoo/conditioner; it was the 2-n-1 so I smelled it, loved it, and used it.  Yeah, this time it was love at first smell.

When you open the bottle you feel as if you are taken back to the Carribbean or in my world, the beach.  Hey, it's still the ocean but not as blue:+(  Anyway, this shampoo blends orchid with coconut milk and boy does it smell great!  Now I'm not a floral type person.  When it comes to lotions, candles, and air fresheners  I go after the fruits and berries not flowers, woodsy stuff or musk.  So, this shampoo has a good balance so as not to throw my senses off and give me a whallop of a headache.  After I have taken a bath I can return to the ladies room (at my house they are all ladies rooms) a few hours later and the scent is still lingering.  Hey, maybe I got a 3-n-1 (shampoo, conditioner and air freshener)!

When I decided to buy myself a bottle I used the following factors:

  • It smelled wonderful despite the orchid
  • It had a catchy slogan, "hello hydration--I'm a moisture packed multi-tasker"
  • In summer time I desperately need more moisturizer
  • It was a 2-n-1 (saves me time when shampooing and shaving)
  • The price was very reasonable: I paid $5.97 for the 23.7 fl oz

I'm almost out of this bottle--maybe 2, perhaps 3 more shampoos and I'm done.  I have already bought the new selection.  Stay tuned to see what it is.  Hint: It does smell good!

In response to Laciel's comment from Apr 19, 2009 at 1:56PM:

I have used the Pantene Pro V shampoo/conditioner at my best friend's house. I did a review on the L'Oreal Vive Pro and it sounds like it is similar to Pantene's. Thanks for reading and I hope to see some reviews from you too!

I would definitely recommend Pantene Pro V Ice Shine shampoo and conditioner for you run out. The smell lingers and makes your hair feel smooth and shiny. Sometimes I only need to use shampoo every other day. And the smells sometimes drives me crazy during the day because it smells so good.
