It was time to switch up my hair routine a new product so I tested out the Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse. The application process was that of your average mouse. It did not leave a heavy film feeling on my hands like some products do. My hair can be a little frizzy at times and this product did not do a great deal to help the situation, especially around the scalp. In addition, the bottom of my hair was a little on the crunchy size. The Herbal Essences mousse did leave my hair smelling amazing throughout the day. I would I could say that it left my hair looking amazing throughout the day as the volume did not last. Unfortunately, I was looking for a hair product that could pass that test. I need something that will last all day long and unfortunately the Herbal Essences body envy mousse is not the product for me. It might be a better fit for someone who already has a little volume in their hair to begin with.
This product works fairly well. I find it works best with a curling iron (I'm not using it so much for volume as for it to hold in place) instead of a hairdryer. It tends to leave white dandruff-looking spots though, if you muss you hair too much, where it is. Other than that, it's a good product.
Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse works pretty well, and I'm pretty happy with it. I'm a little surprised that I didn't end up giving this product 5 stars because of all the hype though. However, it does get "4 STARS" and that's not bad. I think that this mousse does give volume to my hair and I notice it right after I put some on my hair and it dries. I know I've got a fairly good product when I see it working right away. I like the bright "white" color of the mousse when it comes out of the container, but the mousse itself is a bit "sticky". That can be annoying! I also don't like the way the mousse comes out of the container sometimes because it frequently clogs, if you don't spray it just right. However, you can remedy that problem quickly but sticking the top of it under warm water. I love the smell of this mousse because it smells, "fresh, clean, crisp and airy." I would also describe the smell of it as "sweet". It smells like an "orange", kind of like a freshly peeled and ripe orange. I love the design, writing and the shape of the container that this cool mousse comes in. The size I have comes in a (6.8-ounce) size. It will last quite awhile. It definitely catches your eye in a store. I don't like the price of this product because I think it's a bit on the "expensive "side. I'd have to give "Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse a "7" on a scale of "1-10", so I recommend that you give it a try.
**First of all Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse smells so great!! I just started using it today and I keep smelling this fabulous scent that I am not sued to smelling and it is my **Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse! Lovely smell I really like it a lot. I have very fine, sparse hair and use mousse every time I wash my hair to style it and give some extra body. I have a short cut, an angled bob, and I loved using the **Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse to give my hair a lot of body and a lot of holding power. When used along with my round brush while drying my hair, I was very impressed with the outcome of using this mousse. The price can't be beat, and Like I already stated, it smells so great as well! you definitely only need to use a little bit of this product. Too much could probably leave your hair really crunchy and fake looking, but just using a golf ball sized amount is perfect for me.******
I do love the way Herbal Essences products smell, they're like a mixture of fruits and flowers and they definitely invigorate you in the early morning when I use this mousse. It's great on my fine and brittle hair. It doesn't weigh it down but it provides a decent hold (not great) and it does add volume. On the downside, if you put too much, your hair sticks together and you get white flakes from trying to separate the strands or simply touching your hair too much. I do go to this product for pony tails because it keeps flyaways at bay but i won't come across white flakes since my hair is up and i don't usually touch it when it is. The scent is the best part and the price is second since it's always on sale and they constantly have coupons for it to save extra money. It doesn't last all day but at least it washes out very easily unlike pomades that make my hair feel sticky and take forever to wash out.
I have fine to normal hair and I've been using Herbal Essences Body Volumizing Mousse for the past 2 months and have been pleasantly surprised. I really have volume to envy. Not only do I love the volume that my hair has but I also like that it doesn't flake or weigh my hair down, which some other volumizers I've tried have done. I also love the smell of the mousse and that it's greatly priced, and for a stay-at-home mom I love that. I love getting quality products at a great price. Too, on occasion I find an Herbal Essences coupon in the Sunday paper. I would recommend Herbal Essence Volumizing Mousse to friends for it's a product that works, smells wonderful and it easy on the budget.
my hair is thin and quite limp. i went to the store looking for mousse that would add volume to my hair. i saw the herbal essence product line and they looked promising. i fell in love with the scent of this mousse! i ended up buying the whole line that came in thie scent including shampoo, conditioner, mousse, and hairspray. the mousse is decent. it didnt give me the lift i wanted and if i used a little to much it made my hair sticky and stiff. the first time i used it i curled my hair and used a decent amount and my hair was soft, manageable and i could even comb it! i loved that! but when i did it the second and third time my hair was crunchy and i couldnt comb it. herbal essences body envy volumizing mousse is a decent choice if you're looking for mousse at the drug store. my favorite thing about this product is the scent. its nectarince and coral flower i believe. i would suggest this to others but let them know not to over use this product.
I have always believed that making my hair look good when down is an impossible task. My hair is fine, thin, flat, and boring. Hair spray does me no good, it slips right off of the strands, regular mousse and gel makes it look greasy and flat, and I can throw my head back and forth as much as I want, it makes absolutely no difference. I have my mom to thank for my lifeless hair, so she has been searching for a solution to this hair issue for quite some time. I went home for a short break from college and left my hair products at school expecting to use the products at my house that my mom and sisters use. While I was looking through my mom's hair products, trying to decide whether to even attempt to make my hair look good or to just surrender immediately, save myself the frustration, and pull it up into a pony tail, I saw a product I was unfamiliar with - Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse. I towel dried my hair and applied a palm full of the mousse throughout my hair. After flipping and blowing my hair dry, I brushed it, hair sprayed it (hoping for the best), and was amazed that my hair looked like it actually had body! I then thought that it was too good to be true, my hair would revert to its lifeless state within an hour or two. However, when I looked in the mirror a few hours later, it looked the same! Now, every time I decide to wear my hair down I make sure to add body with Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse.
