Aloe vera gel cools the burn

I have an aloe vera plant in the kitchen for stovetop burn emergencies, but when I'm on a beach holiday, I don't always have an aloe vera plant nearby.  This gel is great for relieving sunburn, especially for the first few days after sun overexposure (which is not too healthy...), and keeps the skin from drying, itching, and peeling.  It's good for cracked skin, too, in the wintertime, far less expensive than urea creams and lotions.
