Henry Doorly Zoo - Omaha, NE Review

Summertime is a perfect time to gather the family together and enjoy the outdoors at it's best. Sometimes, finding somewhere to go that will be fun for all ages is tough. I suggest trying the Henry Doorly Zoo, located in Omaha, Nebraska. Expanding in great ways year after year, Henry Doorly Zoo has opened up many new sites to see. Whether you have family that loves Tigers, Monkeys, Birds or something more up close, like the petting zoo, Henry Doorly has it for you.

 If it is fish you want to see, they have one of the most awesome, up close and personal Aquariums you can see. The sharks, sting-rays, turtles and many other fish are encased in a glass tunnel that is shaped like an Archway. You can enter and watch the sea come alive above your head or too either side of you. your kids can place their tiny hands on the glass and thrill to the feeling of almost touching the sea life as it glides past their fingertips. A tiny ocean of Penguins awaits you just down the hall from the sea creatures. Your family can watch them dive and play and interact with one another as they entertain you.

 The Lied Jungle is the worlds largest indoor Rain Forest will take your breath away. Asian, African and South American Rain Forests open up to you as you walk through this 80 foot, 1.5 mile journey into each continent. the animals are free  below you and above you and it is one of the most fascinating places i have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. There are birds and snakes and monkeys and komodo dragons along with under water mini hippos and Giant anteaters. It truly is one of the best places i have been too.

 The Desert Dome is an all contained globe filled with animal and plant life from 3 deserts of the world. The world's largest glazed geodesic dome stands 13 stories tall and is a site all on it's own. There is an educational center where you can listen and learn from videos.

 There is so much to see and do that you might want to plan a two day trip so you don't miss anything. Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska is a must see and a place guarenteed to entertain every member of your family.
