I suppose that my first CLUE should be the name of the show - Hell's Kitchen. Often the name of the show is more "out there" than the show. While I was expecting it to be pretty high energy, I was not thinking this program would be so negative as far as the attitude of the host and his language.

No. I really am not offended by Gordon using the F bomb. I work at a college and I worked blue collar with guys, so it's not like I've got virgin ears. I would, however, expect more from a professional. Gordon really needs to buy a thesaurus and find some better words to express his opinions. Last week when he cut Eddie, he said something about taking off his jacket and getting the F out. Or, I guess that was it. It was bleeped. I asked my son if he thought that was the bleep, and he said "yep." Was there any reason for that?

I wondered if Gordon had any problems with his attitude. Seems he was taken to court (but won) on a case about "setting up" the scenes. Now, he's on the hook again for that same thing. Perhaps he'll win again. Perhaps not. I honestly suspect that a guy who F bombs for effect would also stage the show and stack the footage.

The idea is good. Folks who cook really well get a chance to go on TV and make dishes and run a top notch restaurant. That would be a dream come true I would think for someone in that industry.

On my end, I love to see new dishes and ideas. Some of these hopeful chefs really do some creative stuff. That's the part I like. I could definately do without Gordon's theatrics. He sets up these random challenges that would not be likely to happen in the real world. Then, he curses the contestants. He tells them they should all pack up and go home.

Now and then he gives a nod or nice comment - big yawn. I wouldn't care what he thought of me, and I really wish some the contestants would tell him where to get off but with some non profane words and with some class. My mom always said that when you lowered yourself to the level of the nasty person, then you were just as bad. Gordon is a nasty person, and I really think that he'll fall off the map - and soon.

I do hope the show can carry on. It doesn't have to be a train wreck. The idea is good. They just need to clean it up.

I laughed all the way through this show. Ramsey can be a real A&% and he does treat people like dogs. I guess he is in his own way trying to harden them to deal with running a kitchen, but there are different ways than his rants and curses. He will wind up like Geraldo did and get punched out one day! Ron

I like this show or the concept of it. Ramsey can get out of hand and I think that is a lot of the appeal to some people. The cursing needs to go though, after all it is on at prime time! Good review!

What reality show isn't dramatized for effect? I have seen this one and rolled my eyes at the guy. Whatever. He is so offputting. I do like the up and coming cooks and their cooking though. But I suppose it would be very boring for many if there wasn't a hated character to latch onto... I don't think the cursing is at all necessary. You can be a mean jerk without it.
