Most HelpfulHellman's mayonnaise. That says it all. When people think of mayonnaise, what other brands come to mind? None. I don't even know why other companies make mayonnaise. I do know that Hellman's is the only kind I use. That is beside Best Foods brand which is the same basic company.

Most HelpfulHellman's is the only mayonnaise our family buys. Tastes the best, great value for the money and wonderfully versatile. If Hellman's wasn't available and I had to choose between plain tuna or one made with another brand of mayo.... then make it plain and ship me some Hellman's!!
I grew up using Hellman's mayo and prefer it to this day. I have tried the other brands and always go back to Hellmann's. Over the years, Hellman's has expanded the line to include low fat, olive oil, and a few others, however, the original is still my first choice. When I'm on a healthy eating binge, I sometimes switch to the low fat or low cholesterol version, which are also good tasting. Also, at some point over the years, Hellman's switched from the glass jar to a plastic jar in the same shape, which helps with mishaps in the kitchen.
I have been using Hellman's and Hellman's light mayo for about 12 years.
I started using it when a friend told me that was why her pimento cheese spread tasted better than mine.
Then I discovered how great Hellman's light tastes! You never notice that you are eating a lower-cal/lower fat mayo.
I lov e Hellman's mayonnaise. It's been the classic for so long that it brings back memories every time I smell it and taste it. When I make my grandmother's potato salad I may add some ingredients to update the recipe but I NEVER substitute for the Hellman's mayo.
