So far pretty great. The user interface could be a little smoother. The fancy graphical menus disappear once you get into the applications, and each application seems to work a little differently. The apps have an annoying habit of making you click "OK" all the time. Photo saved! "OK" Contact Edited!... read full review »

I am about to receive my third Ocean from Helio as a replacement for the very first one.  It not only has been dropping calls lately, but it freezes all the time.  The freezing is why I have returned it twice, but Helio never gives me a problem resolving this issue.  It's frustrating having to send... read full review »

This phone is not sleek BUT it is super fun to use. ITs virtually indestructable! :) Im also a text-er and this phone makes it easy with its keyboard. I've had it for a year and im up for an upgrade. Helio just came out with the ocean 2 and im going to be sad to see the one i have go. You see....Im a phone Junkie. just kidding.... The new one doesnt have the same outside covering and if its not going to be as durable, i may not be able to switch.

I own a helio ocean. I have had it for about 4 months now, and i must say, its one of the best cell phones ive ever had. for starters, i like that its not so common among people yet. i like having something others dont. =)

this phone can do everything. e-mail (yahoo, hotmail, gmail) instant messaging, texting, picture messaging, video recording, voice recording, internet (myspace, of course!) it even has mobile youtube! so u can upload videos straight onto your account!

its screen can slide up, or sideways, depending on what u want to do. if youre goin to make a call, u slide it up, dial the number,...

I am a business person.  My business takes place mainly on my phone.  On an average month I spend anywhere from 12-18000 minutes on the phone.  At one point, before the revolution of the unlimited minutes option, I was spending $1,100. per month to handle all my calling requirements.  Then came the Sprint unlimited minutes.  I was not spending 200 per month.  I was saving 900 per month.  Unfortunately, Sprints customer service was horrible.  The straw that broke the camels back was when over the course of 3 days I spent over 4 hours on hold waiting to resolve a technical error on my phone. ... read full review »

The are a few significant cons that I see with this phone: the bulk and the crazy cost of the plan are the two most noticeable ones. The "everything" plan that has unlimited text and data use (and come on, you're not getting this darn thing to only use its neat features in a very limited fashion) is about $100/month. This phone is not mac-compatible in terms of moving files (music, pictures, video from/to your computer). I think this is in an attempt to encourage people to buy from the Helio Music store, where you can buy music, gift it, or beg another person to buy it for you (a little presumptuous,... read full review »

My favorite feature on my Helio Ocean is the Google maps application.  I don't know how i vacationed without it.  I am never lost with my Ocean - it even makes garage sale hunting a breeze.  I like the camera and the YouTube app.  The dual slide keyboard and number pad are great.  Checking my hotmail couldn't be easier. The battery lasts up to a week on one charge which is the best I've found for this type of phone.  Web surfing is a little slow, even when using the Opera Mini browser.  I'm also not pleased with getting phone calls from Helio when my payment somehow takes almost 10 days...

My wife and I both were excited when we came across this phone, but that excitement ended within 2 weeks. Both of our phones had quality issues, the sliders were already getting loose, I had to delete 3 applications and reinstall them. The phones both froze 3 to 5 times a week in both of the 2 weeks we had the phones. The features this phone offers are second to none, they just need to work on the quality and they would have a winner. Pantech should probably find a better carrier to distribute this phone through if they do create it with higher quality craftsmanship.

I've had my Helio Ocean for 3 weeks now.  I've had time to figure everything out and do my online research for games, applications, and accessories.  I love the two keypads.  One for texting and surfing the net, one for phone calls and games.  I have all of my email addresses and instant messaging in one device.

The only negative I can find is the built in calendar.  It doesn't sync with outlook or google calendar.  Pretty pointless for me.  I just go to google calendar mobile instead.

phone is very large and heavy. helio service wasn't able to assist with setting up work e-mail with outlook. very slow response time with text mgs and just about all other services. had to return phone twice within first thirty days because of tech problems that helio customer service could not even fix...... other functions on it are fine. jfdkalfjdlafjdkaljldslkfdjslfjdlksfjldajfdlajfdajfldsjfldsjfkdlsajfdsjfkdlsajflkdajflkdsajflkdjfldksjfdsl

This phone is by far the best iv seen in..................well its the best iv ever seen, its stylish its got everything you can imagine on it and its halfway affordable so id have to give it a thumbs up and say whoever designed this one was actually worth his money unlike the other 99 percent of the tarded phones out there that are supposed to be special and turn out to be duds.

When I first saw the Helio - Ocean Cell Phone, I was amazed at how much it looked like the

T- Mobile Sidekick.  The Helio is much easier to operate, I can even access the internet.  The

graphics are remarkable.  If you like technology then this is the phone for you.

I  was given a Helio Ocean Cell Phone for last Christmas. Out of all the phones i've had in the past it is deffinetly one of the best. From having a verizon 'brick' from 1990 i can say that this cell phone is incredible, but so easy to use. I would reccomend this phone to anyone;)

Has more features than I imagined. Great reception - good sound quality. Helio service has been great. 200MB of internal storage is impressive. I just wish it would sync with Microsoft Outlook calendar. The GPS feature is fun to play with, and the satellite view is impressive.
