I hate these bags. I seem to break the zipper a lot more than the rest of the reviewers. Twice now it has come open in the freezer. Not so happy about that mess I can tell you. I use the plain old press and seal bags. They work and as long as you check to be sure it is closed it stays closed.

East to use... if zipper holds up

I am a busy (single) professional, and sometimes I over do it when I fix something I like to eat.  I need a storage bag / freezer bag that I can rely on to be efficient and useful.  When the zipper top breaks on this product it is no longer effecient or useful.  On the other hand, the press-to-close storage bags work every time!

Its a must have for every household (especially with kids). Can be used for storing food, veggies,fruits, leftovers, snacks. I oftern use it to sort my kids crayons,markers,storybooks,artworks,craft stuffs, etc. Keep a box of this in kitchen, family room & basement & its so handy. Its a good product at a very reasonable price. Very good quality too.

I use these for everything from leftovers to storing toiletries when we travel. As I type right now dh is using one filled with ice on his knee that he just had surgery on. They are inexpensive and have many great uses. I don't feel bad after throwing one away since they aren't super pricey. They work great for storing cookies in too---just ask my son!

These bags are good most of the time, it is annoying when the slider breaks though. That is why I am paying almost $2.00 for a box of 13 bags!!! Most of the time, they are fine, they allow me to freeze meat and save space. Overall they are pretty cool.

I live alone and love to cook, so I usually have food leftover from dinner and needed a solution to where to put everything.  These Hefty one gallon sized bags are perfect for everything.  They are pretty inexpensive and so durable, I have never had a problem of one opening and creating a mess.  I use these bags to store leftovers in both the refrigerator and the freezer and they keep my foods tasting fresh and lasting a long time.  I use these bags for veggies, fruit and even pizza.  It keeps the food fresh and your leftovers will last for days in these bags.  The bags also work great for... review »

I love these bags! I work 2 jobs and I am constantly on the go. So when I cook I tend to cook more than needed for one meal and freeze the rest for another quick meal in the future. I also shop in bulk quantities and divide things up. With these Hefty 0ne zip bags I have plently of size choices and use them to store almost all my left overs and they are great in the freezer. They are tough, dependable, easy to use and I can see what I have them while I am poking around in the freezer. This is a great item for all the reasons already stated in previous reviews.

In addition, using this sturdy bag, and squeezing out the air prior to the final zip, keeps onions, garlic, tuna and cooked food items from crossing odors in your refrigerator.

Like any other plastic, it is best not to re-warm food with plastic touching the food in a microwave oven.

The next best use is to store those pictures that you cannot get around to cataloging or placing in photo albums immediately. They will stay smudge and dust free until you have time.

I love the Hefty One Zip Storage Bags (1 Gallon) - I use them everyday.  I purchase them at Wal-Mart for under $2.00 for 15 of them - and they are well worth the money!  I never have stale chips anymore - I buy the 12.5oz bags of chips, and as soon as I open them I pour them into a Hefty One Zip Storage Bag and close it up - the chips are fresh each time I get into them.  I also use them for left-overs and storing misc other items.  They are great!!!

The one zip storage bags I have discovered are excellent when you have arthritis of the fingers as they close so easily.

I store crafting products, in the product. They take up less room than other products for storage, and you can see at a glance what is inside.

They are great to store garden dry chemicals in when not in use. Keeps them dry and readily available. Easy to mark on them what is inside.

I always have them on hand,

If you are looking for a great product to store your food in try Hefty zip bags. They are very pratical. Many uses freeze your food safely from fresh meat meat to leftovers. Reasonably priced, good quality, and no freezer burn on your food.If you are like me I bulk shop and need to freeze my products in meal size servings. Hefty bags are great as I can put my meat in them and fit more in my freezer. No need to worry that the bag is sealed just zip and freeze.

I enjoy using Hefty One Zip Storage Bags.  There not only good for one use, but can be reused over, and over.  I find them to be cost effective in this manner, and can be used for several items.  I freeze a lot of my fresh fruits for smoothies and place all types of fruit in the bags.  There also great for leftover veggies & meats, and you don't have to search for other plastic containers, and they don't take up to much space.

It took a while for me to find the gallon size bags. I bought one bos and used it up immediately. The next time I shopped, I bought 1/2 dozen boxes. They are great for packing when traveling and out of season storage for shoes and sweaters. By putting a straw partway into the package before zipping, it's possible to suck out the air and make it airtight.

The uses are too numerous to mention,but recommend this product highly
