Heartgard is by far the best! I've tried other heartworm preventatives for my animals and they turn up their noses! Heartgard is effective and tasty too (so I'm told)! It's a bit more pricey than just buying chewable ivermectin tablets, but worth it considering I have to cram the tablets down my dog's throats! They don't like the taste of the tablets.
