I have one dog who is a rescue from a puppy mill and has never seemed to have any sense of taste (although he enjoys his food!) and so he was always great about taking any kind of pill, but my other one -- and every other dog I've ever had -- has always loathed taking their monthly heartworm dose.  I'm so glad they finally figured out how to make the pills into a "treat."!
