This is a good light-hearted romantic comedy.
not into cheesy romance, a comedy connoisseur, a movie lover

Heartbreakers is all about a mother/daughter team whose sole source of income comes from scamming men. Their trick is basically as follows:

The mother gets the guy to fall in love with her, they get married. Her daughter, Page, is put in place to seduce the guy after the wedding, and of course he falls for it. Than he gets caught, they get divorced, and the mom and daughter team get a lot of money. That's just the beginning!

Sigourney Weaver & Jennifer Love Hewitt play the mother/daughter team. These two actresses are perfect together. You would almost think they really were mother and daughter,... review »

Heartbreakers is one of those movies to watch when you are in that "independent, take no crap, I am in charge" kind of mood. It has strong women characters in Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sigourney Weaver. Yes, they con men. They take charge of their lives in a not-so-nice (and not-so-legal) kind of way. The con is to marry men for money, and take nice hefty divorce settlements; and they surmise along the way that men are all lying, cheating jerks not worth anything but what they can get from them (new Mercedes anyone?). This is my favorite movie!  It has a great cast with Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sigourney Weaver, Ray Liotta, Jason Lee, and Gene Hackman.  It has comedy, romance, and a little action.  Well worth seeing!
