Got mine second-hand
I got my Healthrider second hand when my brother-in-law and sister just wanted to get themselves a new machine. It was like a brand new machine to me as I had never had a treadmill as nice as this one. I love the way I can raise the incline, adjust the speed with the push of a button and keep up with my minutes or miles. I like the way it reads out with flashing lights how fast you are walking, how many portions of a mile you have gone, how many miles you have walked and how many minutes you have been walking. But best of all, it is not so loud that you can't hear the radio or watch television as you walk like some machine are. I love to watch tv as I walk because it helps to pass the time faster. Yet it does have the tray support where you can place a book and read a book as well depending on how fast you plan to walk while reading. There are also cup holders at each side to keep your water handy, but I also keep a set of light weights in one of the cup holders to use when I want to have a little weight bearing exercise. The walking platform can be picked up and locked upright with the console where the entire unit is only about 1 1/2 feet wide against the wall.
