Is there an easy way to tell a friend that their smoking is killing them? My BEST friend in the whole world (next to my hubby) just had a heart attack 3 weeks ago TODAY. This friend is in their 60s and is a diabetic. I want my friend to quit-and being in the health field this friend KNOWS that quitting would be in their best interest.....however, it is not happening. How can I deal with this? I do not want to be Nagging and I do not want to be an Enabler. I ALSO WANT TO KEEP THIS FRIEND AROUND FOR YEARS TO COME. I have no idea what (as a good friend) my role should be. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Why would you tell them that when you say they know it? Like - who doesn't know smoking is the devil? Wahhaha. It's on the package and all.
If I'm quitting and a "friend" decides to be helpful with advice (esp a non-smoker), I may body slam them and say a truck did it.
Quitting is a solo journey. Annoy the smoker, and they may . . . well . . . light up. And find a new friend too.
