I didnt start having headaces until I was into my 20's.Then they were so bad that I had to be hospitalized with an IV.I cannot take Relpax or anything else now other than Fioracet.I lose the ability to talk correctly and i slur really bad,I lose my coordination and they last around 4 to 5 days.I lose the vision in my right eye for weeks when this happens and no one can figure out what is going on.Relapx causes my whole body to hurt os bad even my fingernails hurt and the air that touches my skin makes me scream, literally so I cannot take it or any drugs in its class or family.Has anyone gone through this or has any idea what this could be?

Sounds like status migrainosus. Go to headaches.org and search this to find out more information.

Status migrainosus brings on the greater possibility of strokes (hence the slurring language and coordination). Get this checked out with a specialist as soon as possible.

I agree. The hospital has the whole centralized scheduling deal. The doctor calls the hospital they called me and I have to do what they say.I am dealing with alot all at one time.Ihad a blood test called CEA with the problem I am having and along sode the face that my herat is messing up all in one visit they found a lymph gland that has been there 8 months and now I may have cancer again. When I came home I was a mental wreck.I am alright now it is what it is and I want know about the cancer marker blood work until today or monday. So with the heart and all that craziness right now I am just trying to take it all in and trying to be optimistic. Thanks

I have had migraines for about 8 years now, it started after my first daughter in 01 and they have been getting worse and worse every year it seems! My temples pulse, I vomit, I can't look at anything and just lay in bed and whine because it hurts so bad I can't even go to sleep. I've had many MRI's and they don't ever find anything and try to put me on medicine which I won't take or I end up allergic to it and back in the hospital. (I'm allergic to so many medicines so It's hard to treat me) They put me on NewBane when I go in and it makes me sooo unaware of where I am it's great! lol. It really works wonders. I take Excedrin Migraine's 3 at a time sometimes twice a day about 3-4 times a week and I go through bottles of excedrine so quick it scares my mother but It works to the point where it numbs it down and I can tolerate it during the day. I get so upset and cry most of the time saying WHY ME, why do I have to go through this every day of my life because it hurts so bad a dissorients me to the point where I feel so dizzy and like I'm going to pass out from it. I just hate migraines and mine are pretty severe and It seems like nothing will ever help.

Ohhhhh and I heard on Dr. Oz to eat Jalapeno's when you have a migraine or headache and they make this nose stuff that you sniff up your nose that has jalapenos in it that takes your headache away almost immediately. I've not tried it but when I do I will let ppl know if it does work lol.

Dr.Oz is the greatest.I tried it once I know what your talking about but for me it did not help it just made my mouth burn and my acid reflux act up.I guess for a moment I forgot about it but then again when the fire went out in my mouth my head still ached.Lol

I get migraines but not as severe as what some have described. I know one is coming because I see a flash of light and, within a moment, the headache starts. I usually just have to be really still, lights off, and make no fast movements. I won't take any shots or meds so I suffer until they go away.

My big fear is that my mother and sister had brain aneurysms and I have a very good chance of having one too. I have had an MRA and it was clear at that time but I cant 't help wondering when my head starts pounding if it really is just a migraine or is it an aneurysm?

I usually get these migraines right around that time of the month so I have those to look forward to on top of cramps!

Jlowe38, I hope all turns out well or you and they find and fix the cause of your severe headaches.

A one time I got migrane headaches, but then they suddenly stopped. I have no idea what caused them or why they never came back.  I can sympathize with those who suffer. The only thing that helped me was taking a hot shower then laying down in a dark room.

I feel down a hill hunting with my son and broke my  arm and collar bone.then i was mopping my kitchen floor and went  to seat in my computer chair and broke it in the same place.yes you my laugh.i now have nerve damage in my arm and shoulder and neck. I got mirginges from it. I have to go to bed and not get into any light. the left side of my face goes numb. Its the only way to get rid of it for me,i will not  take any pain killers. staying out of the light helps me.

Wow, sherrys4u, that seems a little bit more serious than a migraine. Are you sure they're not anyting more serious?
